设计说明

通过歌曲Let’s Write a Poem导入本节课；通过Building Your Vocabulary环节，复习本单元的单词和词组；然后讲解本单元的语法，并通过Grammar in Use环节对所学的语法进行巩固练习。

   接着，进入Listening and Speaking环节，在训练学生听力的同时，也使学生了解如何写一篇故事，让学生结对进行对话练习，提高学生的口语能力。

   之后，通过Putting It All Together，进一步提高学生的阅读能力，并使学生更好地明白如何写诗。

   最后，让学生对本单元的学习情况进行自我评价。

教学目标

通过本课节的教学，学生达成以下目标：

(1) 熟练掌握本单元的单词。

Step 3  Grammar

一、过去进行时

when与while

1) “当……的时候”,如后面连接的动词为进行时态,则用while多于用when。when可与瞬间性动词或延续性不强的动词连用，while多与延续性动词连用。

2) 如果while前后的动词都是进行时态,则while可译为“与此同时”。

I was reading while my brother was drawing.

3) 当while前后的句子描述的情况相对或相反时,while可译为“然而”。

I am outgoing while my sister is quiet and shy.

二、must 的用法

1. must是情态动词，后面要接实义动词或be动词的原形。

2. must意为“必须”，mustn’t意为“不准；禁止”。

3. must还可以用来表示推测，意为“一定”，用于肯定句，表示较大可能的推测。否定的推测要用can’t，意为“不可能”。

4.注意：(1) must构成的一般疑问句的回答：肯定回答用must，否定回答用needn’t或don’t have to。

—Must I leave now?

—Yes, you must. /No, you needn’t. /No, you don’t have to.

(2)must强调主观上认为“必须”做的事； have to强调客观上“不得不”做的事。
