设计说明

首先复习上节课中Sandy和Millie, Kitty, Simon, Amy所喜欢的运动，

引出话题；通过介绍老师自己喜欢的运动员的信息，呈现本单元的新单词和相关短语。运用对话，让学生加深对单词和词组的记忆，以此减轻学生阅读和理解课文的难度。通过略读和精读课文，让学生掌握文章的结构和脉络，最终学会用英语介绍自己喜欢的运动员。

教学目标

通过本单元的教学，让学生达成以下目标：

1.知识目标

掌握新单词及短语：player, member, club, free, hope, dream, true, come true。

2.能力目标

(1)能够读懂有关介绍运动员的文章。

(2)能够用英语介绍自己喜欢的一名运动员。 

3.情感目标

鼓励学生多加强体育锻炼,告诫学生追求具有正能量的偶像，并能够将这种正能量发挥到自己今后的学习和生活中。

Step 1  Warming up

1. Ask students to revise :

(1)What sport do Sandy and Millie often play？

(2)What sport does Kitty like?

(3)What about Simon?

(4)What about Amy?

2. Have a free talk with students:

Do you often do sports in your free time?

What sport are you good at?

Who is your favorite player?

1. Present your favourite player to teach students some new words and phrase:

come from = be from… 意为“来自……”。

I’m from China. He comes from the USA. 我来自中国。他来自美国。

4. He looks strong and plays football very well.

他看起来很强壮并且足球踢得很棒。

（1）look常见用法如下： 

①看(实义动词，look at…意为“看……”)

Please look at the blackboard carefully.请注意看黑板。

②看起来（连系动词look + 形容词）

You look tall； she looks short.你看起来高，她看起来矮。

（2）well此处是副词，意为“好，令人满意地”

Kitty dances very well.基蒂舞跳得很好。

5. In his free time…在他的空闲时间……

free是形容词，意为“空闲的（反义词为busy）;自由的;免费的”。

Are you free /busy tomorrow? 明天你有空/忙吗?

They are free now. 现在他们自由了。

You can get this book for free. 你可以免费得到这本书。

6. He also enjoys listening to music.他也喜欢听音乐。

listen to…意为“听……”。

Listen to me.听我说。

Do you enjoy listening to music? 你喜欢听音乐吗？

【拓展】listen to sb.听某人说    listen to the radio听收音机

7. It makes him happy.这使他很愉快。

make sb. + 形容词，意为“使某人……”。

The story makes us all sad.这个故事使我们都感到悲伤。

【拓展】make sb. do sth. 意为“使某人做某事”。

Don’t make her stand all the time.不要让她一直站着。

8. I hope his dream comes true.我希望他梦想成真。

（1）hope + 句子，意为“希望……”。

I hope you’ll like it.我希望你会喜欢它。

【拓展】hope to do sth.意为“希望做某事”。

She hopes to go to Beijing next summer. 她希望明年夏天去北京。

【注意】英语中没有hope sb. to do sth. 的用法。

I hope him to come back early. (误）

I hope he can come back early. (正）

（2）come true 意为“实现，成为现实”，一般指希望、愿望等实现。

His dream will come true. 他的理想会实现。
