He gt t experience playing sccer fr his schl.We went t many games and he was frtunate enugh t have a cach and a team that were kind enugh t a new kid and gave him much playing time.Since he has had n schl sprts befre,the whle cncept f having yur classmates cheer yu n at reginal cmpetitins and having fans watch the games,let alne having the cmpetitin n TV,was a huge thing fr him.The team als gave him a bunch f immediate friends and acquaintances.He liked being able t g t the high schl basketball and ftball games t.He als gt t g several f the schl dances,a thing he desn't d in his hmetwn.
We d feel frtunate t have had a kid wh made an effrt t get ut and meet peple,ask fr rides,but was careful abut wh he hung ut with.Our three kids did nt meet any high schl exchange students that were as well knwn in the schl r as well liked and accepted as Ole had been.
We d expect that this hsting experience is the start f a lifelng relatinship.

But since the beginning f the 1900s when it was first emplyed,prductin f ammnia has been energyintensive—requiring temperatures higher than 400℃ and pressures greater than 200 atm—and all pwered by fssil Lvell,a cauthr f the paper frm UNSW,says the traditinal way t make ammnia,knwn as the HaberBsch prcess,is nly csteffective when it is prduced n a massive scale due t the huge amunts f energy and expensive materials required and that it prduces mre CO2 than any ther chemicalmaking reactin.
“In additin t the big carbn ftprint left by the HaberBsch prcess,having t prduce millins f tnnes f ammnia in centralised lcatins means even mre energy is required t transprt it arund the wrld,nt t mentin the risks that g with string large amunts f it in ne place,”says Dr.Lvell.“And we saw tragically in Beirut hw ptentially dangerus string ammnium nitrate(硝酸铵)can be.”
Dr.Lvell and her clleagues therefre lked at hw t prduce it cheaply,n a smaller scale and using renewable energy.Their new prductin methd des nt rely n fssil fuel resurces,and desn't give ff CO2 either.
“And nce it becmes available cmmercially,the technlgy culd be used t prduce ammnia directly n site and n demand farmers culd even d this n site using ur technlgy t make fertilisers—which means we negate the need fr strage and transprt.There's a huge benefit t sciety as well as the health f the planet,” Dr.Lvell says.
