    Tw years ag in spring,I had the pprtunity t fly t France t visit my sn wh was studying abrad in Nice,but I culd nt make the trip due t my anxieties abut flying. My husband and daughter made the trip withut me,and the tw f them experienced a vacatin in Eurpe tgether. I,f curse,regretted that I culd nt g with them and was s disappinted with myself fr nt being able t fly.
    My prblem was the fear f panicking n the plane. I had nt flwn fr ver 15 years. After I missed that trip with my family,I was determined t be ready t fly when my daughter had her study abrad,and my search fr help began. I fund Captain Tm’s SOAR prgramme and began my jurney twards flying t Eurpe at that pint. I rdered the cmplete prgramme and with the encuragement f my family,I cmpleted every DVD,read every wrd f it,had a cunselling sessin with Captain Tm,practiced my strengthening exercises and was ready t take my “practice flight”.
    After that,I began planning fr my gal—my flight t Eurpe in spring. I reviewed all my SOAR materials,had anther cunselling sessin with him,and practiced my strengthening exercises—all fr making arrangements t fly t Eurpe fr my family vacatin. I culdn’t believe that I was making flight plans,arranging htels,and planning sightseeing with a true sense f excitement.
    Well,the flight day arrived and we flew frm Baltimre t Lndn where we met ur kids. We stayed in Lndn fr 3 days and tk the train t Paris. We stayed in Paris fr 3 days and then t Mnac and Italy. It was wnderful! On Mther’s Day we flew t Lndn and then frm Lndn back hme t Baltimre. The flight ver was an vernight flight which left after dark,but it was n prblem at all—even when we had t circle Heathrw fr extra 45 minutes befre landing due t fg. I was calm and relaxed during the entire flight. The return flight was als n prblem fr me. I was able t watch a mvie,read a magazine,and listen t music withut anxiety.
