Look at SuYang’s gloves,Helen.

Whose gloves are these,SuYang?

They’re my father’s.

Whose dress is this,Helen?

It’s my cousin’s.

It’s so beautiful.

2.Students can use ’’Whose’’ to ask questions.

Step1.Warming up

3.   Enjoy a song<the clothing song>

Step2.Presentation

1.   learn the new words

First,let’s learn the new words.Look at the pictures.

Sweater:Read after teacher ‘sweater’.Do you know what it is,yes,毛衣.

Shirt:男士衬衫.    dress:连衣裙        jeans：牛仔裤

Coat:外套         glove:手套      trousers：裤子       shorts：短裤

tips:dress→ dresses          jeans/shorts/trousers usually come in plural form

2.   Play a game<quick response>

   The teacher read the rules loudly

3.   Ask and answer

  T:Look at these clothing pictures,guess whose clothes they are.Answer with the following sentences.

      Whose...is this?   It’s...’s.

      Whose...are these?     They’re...’s.

  (the teacher can ask students to raise their hands)

  S1:...   T:Is he/she right? Yes.clap for her.

   T:Well.Where are they?  Let’s see.  Ss(answer together):PARTY.

   T:Yes.They’re at the fancy dress party.(teaching the ‘party’).Do you know the party?No?Let me show you it.(show some party pictures）There are some familiar characters,can you tell me who they are?

   Ss:Tang monk,Monkey King,Zhu Bajie,micky,The superman,the spider-man...

   T:Good.

⑵Story time

 ①Watch and answer

   After enjoying the pictures,let’s come back to the children’s party.

  Question:What clothes are they trying on?

  Watch the cartoon.

  Answer:SuHai is trying on the dress. SuYang is trying on the trousers.

 T:But SuHai’s dress is _____,how?     Ss:too short.

 T:Good.so SuYang lets her try this.And SuHai says to SuYang’your trousers__ __ __.’

 Ss:are too long.

 T:Yeah.单数is复数are.so she lets her sister try _____(these).

②Read and answer

     Choose one student to read the paragraph and another student to answer.

     S1:It’s Helen’s cousin’s.

Q2.Whose gloves are these?

   S2:They’re SuYang’s father’s.
