- What first-aid (技能;技艺) do you know of?
- The skin is an essential part of your body and is its largest (器官).
- Your skin acts as a barrier against disease, toxins, and the sun’s (光线).
- It also gives you your (触觉).
- You can get burnt by a variety of things: hot liquids, (辐射), (酸) or other chemicals.
- These affect only the top few (毫米;千分之一米) of the skin.
- Examples include mild sunburn and burns caused by other (较小的) household incidents.
- These go below the top (层) of the skin.
- Examples include burns caused by (点击), burning clothes, or petrol fires.
- These burns cause very severe internal injuries and the (受害者) must go to the hospital at once.
- First-degree burns are dry, red and mildly (肿胀的).
- Second-degree burns have (水泡).
- Tissue (在…底下) can often be seen.
- Third-degree burns have little or no pain if (神经) are damaged.
- Remove any clothes using scissors if necessary, unless you see the (织物;布料) sticking to the burnt skin.
- Cover the burnt area with a (松的) clean cloth.
- If the victim is suffering from third-degree burns, there is an (紧急的) need to take him/her to the hospital at once.
- It may reduce swelling and (减轻) discomfort.
- They let us ride along with some (急救医生;护理人员).
- Chemical burns can even affect your internal organ if the chemicals are (吞下;咽下).

- The boy’s grandfather suffered from (扭伤) (脚踝).
- His finger began to (流血).
- You should listen carefully and don’t (惊慌).
- Chen Wei had his dinner (打断) when he heard someone (高声叫) from another table.
