    1教学目标

    1. Learn to use the frequency adverbs, such as always, usually, often, sometimes and never.
    2.  Learn to use the structure Do you usually play football.
    3. Understand the importance of accompany.

     

    2学情分析

    1. Generally speaking, the students in grade 5 of primary school, some have the interests of learning English, but some of them are tired of learning English and even are poor in speaking English.
    2. The students aged eleven to twelve lack the methods of learning English ,so it is important to make them know how to learn English correctly and develop their interests of learning English.
    3. What’s more, some students can’t concentrate on learning in class, so I will try my best to create the language atmosphere to speak English and learn to talk in English.

     

    3重点难点

    1 .Learn to use the frequency adverbs, such as always, usually, often, sometimes and never.

    2. Use the frequency adverbs to make sentences.

     

    4教学过程

    活动1【导入】Pretask preparations

    1. Show some pictures and ask the students some questions.

    T: How many people are there in your family?

    S: There are five/six/seven… people in my family.

    T: Who are they?

    S: They are my grandmother, my grandfather, my mother, my father and I.

    T: What can you do with your grandparents?

    S: I can go shopping with my grandparents.

    I can go to the park with my grandparents.

    I can play football with my grandparents.

    I can go to the beach with my grandparents.

    I can play ping-pong with my grandparents.

    2.Write some phrases on the blackboard, such as go shopping, play football, go to the beach, play basketball, play sport, go to the park and so on.

     

    活动2【讲授】Whiletask procedures

    1.Look at the pictures and learn some phrases.

    T: Let’s look at the pictures and find out what other activities that we can do with our grandparents.

    Play chess play cards write e-mails write an e-mail

    Go to the park play table tennis play tennis

    Play ping-pong play football play volleyball

    Play sport

    Read the phrases for several times and let the students try to memorize them as quickly as possible.

    1. Read the conversation on page24 and finish the exercise on page25.

    T: Now please read the conversation on page24 and try to complete the exercise on page25.

    Alice-------play chess

    Kitty-------go to the park/play ping-pong

    Tom-------write e-mails

    1. Listen to the tape and check the answers.

    T: You must have finished the exercise. It’s time to listen to the tape and then we will check the answers.

    1. Pick up the frequency adverbs and write them on the blackboard, including always, usually, often, sometimes and never.

    T: Now my dear students please look at the blackboard. These words are called frequency adverbs.

    Adverbs of frequency tell us how often something happens ,how often is the case, how often the case happened, how often were the case; how often the case will happen and hoe often will be the case, etc.

    There are lots of them. Here are some examples:

    Always - Peter is always getting into trouble.
    Usually - They usually get their work done on time.
    The most common adverbs of frequency in English in order from most often to least often:

    Always - He always does his homework.
    Usually - They usually complete the work on time.
    Often - I often watch movies online.
    Sometimes - Jack sometimes comes over for dinner.
    Never - I never complain at work.

    1. Read the conversation together first. Then ask the girls to read the conversation, in the end the boys.

    T: Let’s read the conversation on page 24 .

     

    活动3【活动】Posttask activities

    1. Think and write. Complete the sentences based on the chart.

    T: Look, there is a chart on the screen, please read the chart carefully and complete the following sentences.

    Kitty _____always_ comes to school on foot.

    Alice ___usually___ comes to school on foot.
    Tom ___often___ comes to school on foot.
    Peter __sometimes____ comes to school on foot.
    Joe _____never_ comes to school on foot.

    Then read the sentences together.

    1. Do a survey and complete the chart.

    What do you do with your grandparents?

     I usually/often/sometimes … with them.

    T: let’s do a group-work. Ask your group members the question what do you do with your grandparents. Then complete the chart and report the information to me.

    For example:

    I n my group, Alice usually plays chess with them.

    Lucy always plays tennis with them.

    Linda sometimes goes to the park with them.

    Joe never plays sport with them.

    Peter often goes shopping with them.

    1. Introduce my life habits and let the students know the usage of frequency adverbs deeply.

    T: Lisen to me carefully and answer the questions.

    I’m a teacher. I always get up at half past six. I usually leave home at seven o’clock. I often get to my office at a quarter to eight. I am never late for work. I always eat lunch at school. I usually go home at half past four. I sometimes go to the supermarket after work. I often cook dinner for my family. Sometimes I eat at a restaurant.

    1. Answer the questions based on the passage.

    Do I get up at half past six every day?
    Do I go home at half past four every day?
    Do I go to the supermarket every day?
    Do I cook for my family every day?

    5. Make a conclusion of the class and lead to the emotional aims. T: Now have a think what you have learned today. We have known some frequency adverbs such as always, usually, often, sometimes, and never. Besides, we learn some activities that we can do with our grandparents. We are happy and our grandparents are also happy when we play together. So we should spend more time with our parents and grandparents, right?
