(Letters Oo Pp Qq Rr)
1. Teaching aims: By the end of this lesson, (knowledge and skills ability)
1) students can know the names and sounds of letters Oo Pp Qq Rr and can try to read the easy words begin with these letters;
2) students can get the basic skills of reading like skimming and scanning and e-class interaction with pads;
3) students can get the instant correctness of their answers per person counted by Yijia on-line interaction with pads and know the overall performance of the whole class. As a result, this can evaluate the in-class performance of every student with the advanced application of pads and the platform of Yijia on-line interaction; (affection)
4) students can enjoy phonics and English learning.
2. Important and difficult points:
1) Students can know the names and sounds of letters Oo Pp Qq Rr and can try to read the easy words begin with these letters;
2) Students can get the basic skills of e-class interaction with pads.

Step 1 Warming up
Sing a phonics song (TPR, students stand up and sing with actions)

Step 2 Phonics learning of letters Oo Pp Qq Rr I Phonics learning of letter Oo
1. Meet a new friend Penny
T invites the Ss to meet Penny, and come to the phonics farm.
T: Today we’ll meet a new friend. Listen, who is it?
[Penny (a squirrel): Hello, boys and girls. I’m Penny. Welcome to my phonics farm.]
Penny will take us to his phonics farm today. Listen, what comes? [The sound of the train]
Yes. The train comes. Look! What’s on the car (车厢)?
2. Let’s learn Oo
T teaches the Ss to read the name and sound of letter Oo1)Teach Oo: T teaches the Ss to read the name of letter Oo and say with actions
T:You can see big O and little o. Follow me. Big O, little o.(with letter card in teacher’s hands, groups read)
Let’s say with actions. Big O. (with action). Little o (with action)
1) Play a game Big O. Little o: T say big O or little o and Ss say the opposite little o or big O with actions
2) Meet animals with Oo, an ottar and an ox
T guides the Ss to know an ox and an otar coming down from the car and learn the sound of Oo from the cry of the ottar.
T: Look! Which animal comes down from the car?
Yes. It’s an ox. Let’s try to say a chant. Oo, Oo, Oo, Oo is for ox.
Oh! What comes after the ox? It’s an ottar. Let’s say a chant. Oo, Oo, Oo, Oo is for ottar (little train).But what does Oo say? Let’s watch.
Yes, the Oo says o. I have a chant for you. Can you try? Oo ox Oo ottar ox ottar ottar. Can you say with the music? Let’s try.
【设计意图】:
以小松鼠Penny的自然拼读农场引入字母的教学,生动有趣,设计听力任务,激发学生好奇心和兴趣,通过猜测车厢上的字母和车厢里的动物,学习字母Oo的形与音,并运用游戏你说大我说小和chant的形式及时练习和巩固。
II Phonics learning of letter Pp
1) Teach Pp:
T teaches the Ss to read the name of letter Pp
T: What about the next car? What’s on the car? Good! You can see big P and little p. Follow me. Big P, little p. (Bs and Gs read) Which animal comes down?
You’re correct. A pig comes. Let’s say the chant. Pp, Pp, Pp. Pp is for pig.
2) Let’s guess:
T asks the Ss to guess what food the pig likes and learn the words pears begin with Pp.
T: The pig is hungry. Penny brings him some food. Guess what the pig likes.
(PPT:The pig likes …) Actually, the pig likes the pears. Let’s say the chant. Pp, Pp, Pp. Pp is for pears. 3) Learn the sound of Pp.
T guides the Ss to learn the sound of Pp from the video.T: But what does the Pp say? Let’s watch. Let’s say a chant.
Pp pig Pp pears pig pears pears.

继续通过猜测车厢上的字母和车厢里的动物,学习字母Pp的形与音,并通过猜测小猪喜欢的食物引出pears以及chant的形式及时练习和巩固。
III Phonics learning of letter Qq
Teach Qq:
T guides the Ss to guess the animal from the car Qq and learn the sound of Qq from a chant.
T: [Shh!] Listen. The sound comes from the car Qq. Follow me. Big Q little q. Which animal is in the car? Oh? A quiet quail. The Qq says /qu/. Let’s say a chant. Quiet quail, quiet quail. What do you say? I say Qq /q/.
Shh! Shh! Shh! ( read together, say with music together,choose 4-5Ss say together)

通过Shh的音频引发学生猜测车厢的动物,并通过chant请学生自己找出并感受Qq的发音。
IV Phonics learning of letter Rr
1) Teach Rr: T teaches the Ss to read the name of letter Rr and learn the
sound from the video.
T: What’s on the next car?Rr. Follow me. Big R little r Which animal is in the car? Oh! A reindeer. A rabbit comes with the reindeer too. What does Rr say? Let’ watch a video. The Rr says /r/ /r/. /r//r/ reindeer (little train) /r/. /r//r/ rabbit (little train)
【设计意图】:
继续以车厢里下来的动物为线索学习Rr的形,以视频的方式请学生自己发现Rr的发音。
V Practice and Consolidation of letters Oo Pp Qq Rr
- Sing and do a song: P Q R T instructs the Ss to sing and do the song P Q R.
2. Frog jump
T guides the Ss to help the frog to find his letter friend Oo, Pp, Qq,and Rr
3. Listen and choose
T guides the Ss to listen and choose the beginning letter of the words they listened and answer on their pads. The Yijia on-line interation platform will calculate the correctness of every student and count the accuracy of the whole class.
1) Ostrich begins with the letter. A. o B. u

3)Panda begins with the letter. A.b B. p
4)Quilt begins with the letter.

本环节运用易加互动平台结合平板pad在线网络教学,通过学生边听边完成听力练习的形式,第一时间通过网络反馈给老师学生的全班答题情况,并利用平台优势进行统计学统计,及时反馈给班级的每一个学生,有效地检验了字母Oo, Pp,Qq, Rr的发音的掌握情况,相比于传统课堂相比,具有及时性和高效性,即课堂中及时检验和第一时间全班批改,有助于学生第一时间根据自己的答题情况补缺补漏。
