    Writing Workshop

    教学目标与核心素养:

    知识目标:让学生理解如何写人物简介。

    能力目标:掌握人物简介的写作方法,完成人物简介的写作和展示。

    教学过程:

    一、Pre-class

    GET READY FOR WRITING

    学生活动:Pair Work

    You are going to write a personalprofile to join a reading club. Discuss what kind of information is needed.

    Have students discuss and share their opinions.

    二、While-class

    READ FOR WRITING

    1. 学生活动:阅读文章,回答问题。

    Read the profile on page 18. Underline the answers to the following questions.

    1. How does Happy Hermione feel about reading? What types of books is she interested in reading?

    (She feels reading is an exciting experience. She enjoys reading books about foreign cultures or imaginary worlds.)

    2. What reasons does she give for joining the club?

    (She thinks it's fun to hear about new books that other people enjoy and wants to share ideas with others.)

    3. What expressions are used by Happy Hermione to express her opinions about the first book in the Harry Potter series?

    (The expressions she used are "the best", "the author did an amazing job of creating a whole new world through this book".)

    人物简介一般为记叙文体,主要用于历史名人介绍,著作者介绍,主要人物介绍,自我介绍和求职信,等等。

    (1)首先介绍人物基本情况,包括姓名、性别、年龄、职业、出生地、出生时间和现在学习工作所在地等。

    (2)其次介绍该人物的成长经历,包括家庭背景或教育背景等。

    (3)主要事件,包括学习经历、工作经验、个人能力、兴趣爱好、获奖证书、突出贡献等。

    (4)对人物的评价或自我评价。

    One possible version:

    Li Shizhen was a famous medical scientist in Ming Dynasty. He was born in 1518. He wrote a famous book Ben Cao Gang Mu", which is a collection of Chinese herbs. It included 2,000 Chinese herbs with millions of characters. He visited mountains, called on ordinary people, tasted different kinds of herbs and even did experiments on himself. It took him 37 years to finish the book. The book is considered to be a great contribution to the development of Chinese medicine.
