READ FOR WRITING

Read the profile on page 18. Underline the answers to the following questions.

1. How does Happy Hermione feel about reading? What types of books is she interested in reading?

(She feels reading is an exciting experience. She enjoys reading books about foreign cultures or imaginary worlds.)

（2）其次介绍该人物的成长经历，包括家庭背景或教育背景等。

（3）主要事件，包括学习经历、工作经验、个人能力、兴趣爱好、获奖证书、突出贡献等。

One possible version:

Li Shizhen was a famous medical scientist in Ming Dynasty. He was born in 1518. He wrote a famous book “Ben Cao Gang Mu", which is a collection of Chinese herbs. It included 2,000 Chinese herbs with millions of characters. He visited mountains, called on ordinary people, tasted different kinds of herbs and even did experiments on himself. It took him 37 years to finish the book. The book is considered to be a great contribution to the development of Chinese medicine.
