【教学目标】
1.认知目标:
(1)能听懂并且会读本课的内容.
(2)能读、写、说出和听懂下面词汇: camera, saying, reach, anything, true, everyone.
(3)能说出和听懂I want to take my camera. We need to take a bus. He who doesn't reach the Great Wall is not a true man.等句子.
2.能力目标:能在一种贴近现实生活的语境中正确地运用所学的用语进行对话,以达到“学习活动化,活动交际化”的目的.
【教学重点】
掌握词汇camera, saying, reach, anything, true, everyone.
【教学难点】
运用本课所学的用语进行情景对话.
【教学准备】
教学卡片cards、tape-recorder、多媒体课件ppt.
【教学过程】
Ⅰ.Warm-up
师生之间互相打招呼问好并自由对话(Free talk)营造上英语课的氛围,让学生进入学习英语的状态: Hello! Nice to meet you. How are you today? How's the weather today? What day is today? How's the weather today? Are you happy today?
Ⅱ.Presentation
1.教师: Last week, Jenny, Danny and Li Ming went to the Tiananmen Square and the Palace Museum. Today, they are going to the Great Wall, this class, let's go to the Great Wall all together, ok?
(1)引出新课: This class, we will study Lesson 10《The Great Wall》.
(2)出示课题,领读课题.教师讲解长城历史,了解长城的悠久历史.中华大地上的万里长城,凝结着历代各族劳动人民的血汗与智慧,从春秋战国起相继有二十多个诸侯国和封建王朝修筑过长城,前后持续达两千余年总长度超过100000里,是世界上最伟大的奇迹之一、
2.细读短文回答问题.(在原文中圈出答案)
(1)How do Jenny, Danny and Li Ming get to the Great Wall?
(2)What does Jenny take to the Great Wall?
(3)How old is the Great Wall?
(4)How long is the Great Wall?
(5)Do you know a Chinese saying about the Great Wall?
学生细读短文,小组讨论,在原文中圈出答案,然后共同解答.
3.解答:
(1)How do Jenny, Danny and Li Ming get to the Great Wall?
a.学生说一说,然后出示公共汽车的图片.
b.出示答案: They need to take a bus.
c.教师讲解: need to do sth.是指:需要做某事,主语往往是人.学生根据这句话,用need to每人说一句话.
(2)What does Jenny take to the Great Wall?
a.学生先回答.
b.出示相机图片,教学camera.
c.学生边说单词,边用手作拍照的动作.
d.出示答案: She takes her camera.
e.教师:Now,两人一组练习“May I take a picture of you,______? Sure.”作给别人拍照的对话.
(3)How old is the Great Wall?
a.学生回答
b.出示答案: It's about 2000 years old.
c.课件出示长满草的很有历史痕迹的一张图片.
d.学生看图用一个单词描述这幅图,old.
e.出示句子: That's very old.体会very old.
f.找学生说一说old的反义词young.
g.课件出示比较年轻的长城图片,观察这幅图,你发现了什么?
h.学生说一说
i.出示句子: There are so many people here.理解so many,最后用so many说一句话.
(4)How long is the Great Wall?
a.学生先说一说答案
b.然后课件出示一张比较能显示出长城的长的图片,体会长城匍匐在山端绵延千里的感觉.
c.出示答案: About 6000 kilometers.
d.教师讲解: kilometers就是我们常用的长度单位“千米”的英语,缩写是“km”.6000 kilometers可以写作: 6000 km, The Great Wall is so long.
(5)Do you know a Chinese saying about the Great Wall?
a.学生说一说答案.
b.教师讲解: saying是谚语的意思,“a Chinese saying about the Great Wall”关于长城的中国谚语.
c.出示: He who doesn't reach the Great Wall is not a true man.
d.学生结合这句话和生活中的谚语小组讨论这句话的含义:“不登长城非好汉”.
e.教师:你还知道哪些关于长城的谚语吗?说一说.
f.课件出示:万里长城永不倒.长城易到,好汉难为.长城内外皆故乡.

1.Listen to the tape, and point to the sentences.
2.Read the text with the tape.
Ⅳ.Practice
1.Let's act.分角色演一演这个对话.
2.Let's do it.课件展示: Bird's Nest, Water Cube, Summer Palace, Beihai Park.的图片,课前学生查阅资料,找到相关知识,整理成一段话.现在分小组展示,然后各组选出最佳的一个到讲台前展示,看谁介绍的最好,选出“最佳小记者”.

我们这节课主要学习了单词: camera, saying, reach, anything, true, everyone.还学习了句子: I want to take my camera. We need to take a bus. He who doesn't reach the Great Wall is not a true man.等.
