Teaching procedure
Step 1 Vocabulary revision
Have Ss look at a picture and choose the correct vocabulary items to complete the passage. Word forms need to be changed where necessary.

Step 2 Pre-reading predictions
Have Ss look at he title, the subtitle and the pictures on page 19 before reading the article. Have Ss choose proper answers.

(e) My family discuss the business, then I work on my computer for an hour.
(f) I go and have lunch with a client, and then I return to school.

Step 5: Information about Wendy
Have Ss work in pairs. S1 wants information about Wendy, her family and her business. S2 gives the correct information, looking at the article on page 19 again if necessary.

What does she usually do on her way to school?

What does Wendy think of the school work?
How are her school grades?
Where does she have lunch?

Step 6: An interview: finding the facts about Wendy
a) Have Ss complete the list in Excise D on page 21 while reading the article.
b) Have Ss simulate an interview between Wendy and a magazine reporter. Ss work in pairs, and use the excise above to help.
Step 7: Writing: We’re different!
Have Ss find in the article 5 things that Wendy does but .that they do differently. Then write sentences about them as in the example. The following verbs may be used.

Homework
- Look at Wendy’s timetable and try to retell Wendy’s daily routine.
- Write about your daily activities with the help of the pictures in exercise A on page 18 of Student’s Book.
