1、Show the pictures to students to increase their interest in learning English.

2、Study the new words.

Show the pictures of fun park, students say out some names of amusement park in our city.

Presentation

Pre-reading

Introduce the Fun Times Park to the students, ask them the questions:

What do you usually do at Fun Park?

Do you always enjoy yourselves at Fun Park?

While-reading(1)

 Look at 3a, students read the passage quickly and draw the routine of Alice and He Wei.

 Check the answer.

While-reading(2)

 Students read the passage carefully and answer the question.

1. Why did Alice not want to go on the new ride? How did she feel after the ride?

2. What is special about Uncle Bob’s  restaurant?

3. Should Alice and He Wei get there early for dinner? Why?

 Check the answers.

Post-reading

 Students finish 3b.

 Check the answers.

 Students read the passage and role play the conversations.
