T: I am happy to hear that. And today we will learn Unit 8 How Are you? Show and read the title.

1. Learning time  (Fun time )

T :(出示一次性纸杯做的电话）This is a telephone. How to make a telephone call ? Please look at your exercise book and read the dialogue quickly. Underline the key sentences.

S: (Fast read and underline)

T: Can you share your answers with us?

A :Hello , this is ....speaking .May I speak to .....?

B:Hello ,this is ....

A:How are you ?

B:I am fine.(板书电话用语)

T:Well done. Let’s read these sentences together.

 T: We are all fine , let’s greet our friends together . Who can ask them?

S: Hello, Helen, how are you?

C: I’m fine, thank you.

T: Oh, I’m glad to hear that. (新授句子I’m glad to hear that.)

S: ( 同位练习打电话）How do they make telephone calls?

T: What about our friend, Bobby ?

S: Hello, Booby , how are you?

C: Not so good.

2. Fill and read

T: Boys and girls, can you fill and read this little rhyme now? You can discuss in pairs first.

S: (Work in pairs and have a try)

T: Great. Let’s read together. Yang Ling is ill. She should take care of herself.

    (新授句子Take care.)

Step 3 Cartoon time

1. Look and answer

T: Look at the picture. Where is Bobby now?

S: He is at home.

T: What is Sam doing?

S: He is making a telephone call.

2. Watch and answer

T: Yes, he is making a telephone call. Who is Sam calling? Let’s watch and answer?

3. Listen and answer

Bobby and Sam are  good               . Today Sam makes a telephone call to        . But Bobby says : he is not         .He makes a joke with Sam.

4. Reading time

(1) Listen and repeat (听录音跟读卡通，鼓励学生模仿语音、语调)
