Ⅰ.Warm-up &Revision

1)     Greetings

 T:Good morning,boys and girls.  SS: Good morning,teacher.

 T：Nice to meet you.    SS: Nice to meet you,too.

2).Free Talk

 T:Who’s on duty today?SS:…is not here.

T:What’s wrong with him?

SS:He has a bad cold.

T:Oh,I’m sorry to here that.I hope he will get well soon.

SS:Me,too.

2)     Revision

 T:Look at these photos and read the phrases loudly

T: Show the pictures and say words loudly.

SS:(Look at the pictures and say words loudly and quickly.)

设计意图：让学生进行类似于头脑风暴的旧知激活。

Ⅱ.Presentation

1. Task 9:Read,choose and talk.

T: Peter is ill today.He can’t go to school. He calls his teacher, Miss Liu.Please read the dialogue.Try to guess what they are talking about.

T:Read the dialogue again. Then read the sentence bank on the right.Fill in the blanks and think about two questions:

1. What’s wrong with Peter?
2. Where does Peter go?

SS:(Read the dialogue, fill in the blank and think.)

T: Role-play the dialogue in pairs.

Let 2 or 3pairs show.

设计意图：学生通过仔细读对话，从右边框中找出空白部分需要填写的句子或词组并填写，从而对生病请假的功能句型和单词进行复习。

2. Task 10:Listen,read and write.

T: What do you usually say when you see a patient?

SS:Take good care./Stay in bed and have a good rest./Drink more water ...

T:What can you do for the sick person?

S:I will help him/her with his/her lessons.Like Chinese,maths and English.

T:Very good.It is nice to have a good friend like you. Peter is ill now,his friends go to see him So now,let’s listen and try to fill in the blanks.

SS:(Listen to the tape and fill in the blanks. )

设计意图：本部分是以听力的形式为学生们展现了一个探望病人的会话场景。学生听录音后补充对话中所缺的信息，最终使会话完整并符合逻辑。同时也培养了学生的听力答题策略。
