一、教学目标

三、教学过程
Step 1：Warmup
1．教师播放本单元歌曲Changes in me，带领学生大声跟唱。
2．教师带领学生复习本单元的重点知识：
(1)教师依次呈现本单元单词卡片。如dining hall、grass、gym、go cycling、iceskate、badminton。要求学生举手抢答，说出其中文意思并拼读。若中文意思和拼读都正确，学生可得两分，若只对其中一项，学生得一分。最后看一看谁的分数最高。
(2)教师请几名学生说一说学校过去和现在的变化，如：
S1：Before，there was no library.Now，there is a new one.
S2：Before，there were no computers.Now，there is a computer room.
S3：Before，there was no dining hall.Now，there is a big one.
...
Step 2：Presentation
Story time
·教材意图
本环节通过趣味故事复习巩固本单元所学语言，同时补充学习一些跨学科的历史、生物等知识，增加学生的语言输入量。
·教学建议
(1)教师用多媒体呈现佐姆和兹普的图片，说：Zip and Zoom are reading a magazine.What is the magazine about？然后让学生观察此环节情景图片，感知故事大意。
(2)教师播放录音，让学生认真听，然后自由讨论并回答问题：What is the magazine about？教师总结：The magazine is about the past，the present and the future of the cooking，the environment and the whales.
(3)教师让学生自行阅读故事，并用笔勾画出不理解的地方，如cavemen、raw、human等，然后举手提问，教师统一答疑。
(4)教师播放录音，并分发表格，学生听录音并试着补全下列表格：

教师带领学生依次阅读这三段小故事，并带领学生补全表格。
(5)教师播放录音，让学生模仿其语音、语调反复跟读。
(6)教师先和一名基础较好的学生示范表演，然后让学生模仿并分角色练习表演故事。
Step 3：Practice
(1)教师把学生分为五人一组，每组自由选择Story time中的一个点制作相应的海报，并对海报进行解说，如做饭、环境、鲸鱼。
(2)教师请各组展示并解说自己制作的海报，其他学生进行评价。最后教师总结，向学生传递爱护地球、保护环境的理念。
Step 4：Consolidation and extension
1．学生把Story time的故事读给家长听。
2．完成配套的课时作业。

Cavemen often ate raw meat.

Before humans lived on the earth，whales already lived in the sea.

六、教学反思
本课时以故事教学为主，并向学生传递保护环境的理念。在设计教学时，教师先让学生通过图片大致了解故事内容；然后通过听录音回答问题、自行阅读故事、让教师答疑以及完成表格的方式帮助学生进一步理解故事内容，让故事脉络清晰地呈现在学生面前。最后制作海报并解说的活动对于学生来说是有一定难度的，因此教师让学生分组完成，降低了难度，也锻炼了学生团结协作解决问题的能力。
