English is a very interesting language. It has brrwed wrds frm many ther languages. Immigrants (移民) cming int the United States have cntributed many wrds t the language, which have kept their riginal prnunciatin. “Clie” and “kwtw” were taken frm the Chinese language, “kamikaze” frm the Japanese, “shamp” frm India, “blitz” frm German, “amig” and “Ls Angeles” frm Spanish and s n.
Many students have studied English fr years, sme as many as eight. Hwever, sme students still have difficulty in speaking fluent English. Sme knw many wrds but are unable t discern them when native speakers use them. In ur ral English classes we will fcus n speaking and listening t native English speakers. Fr this reasn, because we are trying t train yur ears t hear English and yur muths t speak intelligible (易理解的) English, we will have a rule that ONLY ENGLISH will be spken in ur English classes. Anyne speaking Chinese in class will be required t pay a fine (罚款) in rder t encurage the speaking and understanding f English.
