    Teaching purpse
    通过游戏“猜一猜”帮助学生复习与学科有关的单词,增加课堂的趣味性。通过观察日历,联系实际,让学生在自由对话的过程中对本课要学习的知识有初步的感知,为后面的学习做铺垫。

    Talk abut ther pictures in the same way.
    3. Free talk.

    Lead students t answer this questin accrding t the class schedule. And lead them t use the sentence pattern: We have English/…tday.
    Shw a calendar f a whle mnth n the PPT. (出示课件) Circle ne Wednesday.

    T: Hw abut the wrd “Wednesdays”? What is its meaning?
    Ss: 每个星期三/Many Wednesdays…
    T: Yu’re wnderful! “Wednesdays” means “every Wednesday” r “any Wednesday”. It is the same with Mnday and Mndays, Tuesday and Tuesdays, Thursday and Thursdays, Friday and Fridays, Saturday and Saturdays, Sunday and Sundays.
    Write dwn the wrd “Wednesday” n the blackbard. Lead students t read it three times.
    Circle all the Wednesdays n the calendar when talking abut the wrd t help students better understand this wrd.
    Ask the questin: What d yu have n Wednesdays?
    Lead students t answer this questin accrding t the class schedule. Freely talk like this:

    Ss: We have…n Wednesdays.

    Shw the picture f “Let’s try” n the PPT. (出示课件) Ask students t bserve the picture carefully. Lead students t read the fur wrds abut subjects in this sectin. Lead students t read Jhn’s grandpa’s questin. Then ask them t guess what Jhn says t his grandpa.
    Lead students t express their pinins by using the sentence pattern and the wrds in this part. They can say like this: I have art/Chinese/English/PE n Wednesdays.
    (2)Listen and fill in the blank.
    T: Is yur guess crrect? Nw listen t the recrding carefully and try t fill in the blank in yur bk. Please pay attentin t the fur wrds abut subjects.
    Play the recrding f “Let’s try”. (出示课件) Students try t cmplete the task.

    Shw the calendar f a whle mnth again. (出示课件) Circle and teach the wrd “Thursday” like this: Thurs + day=Thursday. Write dwn the wrd “Thursday” n the blackbard. Demnstrate the prnunciatin: Thurs//-day/deɪ/-Thursday. Lead students t read like this three times. Ask ne student t circle all the “Thursday” n the calendar t help students better understand this wrd.

    Shw a picture f a cking schl and its recruitment advertisement n the PPT. (出示课件)

    Check the answers tgether. Shw the answers n the PPT t let students crrect their mistakes by reading the dialgue in their bks. (出示课件)
    (2)Play the recrding f “Let’s talk” again. (出示课件)Lead students t read after it and imitate the intnatin and the prnunciatin f the recrding. Then ask students t read tgether and read freely.
    (3)Ask students t read the dialgue in pairs. Several minutes later, take ut the headwears f Jhn and Jhn’s grandpa and ask sme students t act ut the dialgue.
    (4)Chse the best perfrmers. Then give awards.

    Shw a calendar n the PPT. In the calendar, certain days are circled, such as every Wednesday r every Thursday. And there are tw pictures f different subjects. (出示课件)
    Divide students int tw grups. Fr the first picture, let bys ask the questin accrding t the days circled in the calendar. They can ask like this: What d yu have n…? Let girls answer the questin accrding t the picture abut subjects. Fr the secnd picture, let bys and girls exchange.
    Step 4: Cnslidatin & Extensin

    1. Fill in the chart.
    Shw the chart belw n the PPT. Divide students int six grups. Ask them t design their wn schedule abut curses and activities n Wednesdays and Thursdays. Let them discuss by asking and answering in grups.
    2. Interview ther grups.
    Tw grups interview each ther. They shuld ask and answer the questins accrding t the chart. They can ask and answer like this:

    G2: We have maths, art and Chinese n Wednesdays.
    G1: What d yu d n Wednesdays?
    G2: We draw sme pictures n Wednesdays.
    G1: What d yu have n Thursdays?

    Then the tw grups make an exchange. The best grup can get blank schedule cards as awards.
