    Shw a picture abut Zhang Peng and Oliver. They are making a phne call in the picture. (出示课件)
    T: It’s a Saturday mrning. Zhang Peng calls Oliver. What are they talking abut? Let’s g and see.

    (1)Shw the pictures f “Let’s try” n the PPT. (出示课件)
    Ask students t bserve the pictures carefully. Then let them try t describe the tw pictures briefly. Lead students t talk abut the pictures frm tw aspects. First, try t intrduce the characters in the pictures, then try t describe the activities they d in the pictures. They can describe like these: I can see Oliver in Picture 1. He cleans his rm in the picture./They are Oliver and anther by in Picture 2. They play ftball in this picture.
    T: Frm these pictures, can yu guess what they are talking abut?
    S1: Maybe they are talking abut their weekend.
    S2: Maybe they are talking abut their activities.

    T: Des Oliver d bth the activities in these tw pictures?

    T: We have different pinins. Please listen t the recrding carefully and try t knw what they are talking abut and what Oliver des exactly.
    (2)Play the recrding f “Let’s try” fr the first time. (出示课件) Let students try t get the key infrmatin: play ftball, srry, clean my rm, n Saturdays, yes.
    (3)Then play the recrding again. (出示课件) Let students try t listen and tick the right picture abut Oliver’s weekend.
    (4)Check the answer. And check the guesses befre.
    T: Nw we knw that they are talking abut their activities n the weekend. Oliver desn’t d bth the activities. He desn’t play ftball with Zhang Peng. He ften cleans his rm n Saturdays.

    Write dwn the phrase “read bks” n the blackbard. Lead students t read it three times.

    T: Please ask me the tw questins.

    Write dwn the phrase “play ftball” n the blackbard. Lead students t read it three times.

    T: What else can yu see? What are in their hands?
    Ss: I can see a ftball in Zhang Peng’s hand and a strybk in Sarah’s hands.
    T: Excellent! What are they talking abut? Are they talking abut their classes?
    Encurage students t guess the answers.
    ②Play the vide f “Let’s talk”. (出示课件) Let students watch the vide and check their predictins. After students watch the vide, ask the questins again. Lead students t prvide the right answers: N, they are nt talking abut their classes. They are talking abut their weekends.
    ③Shw three questins n the PPT.
    Play the vide f “Let’s talk” again. (出示课件) Let students watch carefully and try t answer these questins.
    Ask three students t stand up and answer these questins ne by ne. Shw the answers n the PPT. Check the answers tgether.

    ①Let students read after the recrding sentence by sentence and try t imitate the intnatin and the prnunciatin f the recrding. Then let them read freely.

    Display several students’ answers. Check and crrect the mistakes tgether. Chse the best wrk. Give a wrd card t the student as an award.
    Shw the answers n the PPT. (出示课件) Ask students t check and crrect their answers. Then let them read the dialgue tgether nce.
