Step 1. Discussin
Discuss the fllwing questins: “Hw many peple are there in yur family? What hbbies d they have?”
Make a grup with three r fur students. Let them reprt their family members ne by ne. After all f them reprt, let the students sum the same and different hbbies they have.
Step 2. Listen t the tape and answer the fllwing questins:
1. What des Danny’s grandpa like?
2. Where did Grandpa cme frm?
3. Where did he learn English?
4. What is Danny’s hbby?
Step 3. Read the text silently and check the answers. Then read the text ludly in class. Chse wh reads the best?
Step 4. Listen t the tape again. Then retell the stry in a third persn.
Step 5. Cme t “LET’S DO IT”
This task is easy in English, but it is difficult t finish, because many family members can’t speak English. We can finish the task in Chinese. Then translate it int English by yurselves.
Then write a reprt and present it t yur class.
