    e.g. Yu’ve been happy since I first met yu.
    B Using since, till and until
    Since means frm a certain time. The verb in the main clause is ften used in the present perfect tense.
    Till and until mean up t a certain time. Until can be placed at the beginning r in the middle f the sentence, but till is usually used in the middle f the sentence.
    e.g. Spud remained in anther basketball league fr abut a year till/ until the NBA tk ntice f him. Until his dream came true, Spud never gave up.
    When we use the structure nt…until, we cannt use till instead f until.
    e.g. Dn’t wake me up until yu finish yur wrk.

    C Using as sn as and whenever
    As sn as means when smething happens, r a shrt time after smething has happened.
    Whenever means at any time.
    e.g. I can read bks whenever I want t.

    Simn is writing abut David’s lve fr basketball. Help Simn cmplete his sentences with as sn as r whenever.

    一、befre, after, when, while, till, until, as sn as, whenever引导的时间状语从句中,如果主从句都是将来发生的动作,主句用一般将来时,从句用一般现在时。
    e.g. She wn’t g hme until she finishes her wrk.
    二、since(自从……)常与现在完成时 连用。
    e.g. Jhn has wrked in this factry since 1998.
    三、while(当……时)引导的时间状语 从句通常要用进行时。
    e.g. Smene kncked n the dr while I was watching TV.
    四、befre, after, since, till, until还可作 介词,后接时间名词。
    e.g. befre 9 a.m. till/until tday since 2009 after lunch
    五、当主句和从句的主语是同一个人时 还可用:befre/ after/ when/ while ding sth.
    e.g. Yu’d better nt listen t music while ding yur hmewrk.
    六、as sn as 引导时间状语,表示 “一……就……”
    e.g. It began t rain as sn as I left there.
    注意:hardly (scarcely, rarely)…when / befre, n sner…than相当于as sn as之意。主句用过去完成时,从句用一般过去时。当hardly, scarcely, rarely和n sner位于句首时,主句应用倒装语序。
    e.g. He had n sner arrived hme than he was asked t start n anther jurney. 他刚到家,就被邀请开始另一旅程。
    七、till和until通常可以互换,但当“直 到”这词用于句首或与nt连用时只 能用until。
    e.g. They didn’t cme back until it was dark.
