Unit 11 Sad movies make me cry（第3课时）

一、学习目标

1.知识目标 To learn to use “make sb./ sth.＋动词原形, make Sb./ sth. ＋ 形容词 .”

生词和短语: pretend to be asleep ，make me feel guilty ，to tell the truth

重点句型:1.It was a very nice thought. 2. We have a saying：It’s the thought that counts.

2.能力目标：Train students’ peaking and listening ability．

make sb adj ; make sb do;

①. make +n.

    make food 做饭  make a plane做飞机

    make the bed 铺床  make money 赚钱

②. I just made it to my class.

③. make sb. / sth. + adj. 使某人（感到）…

        Soccer makes me crazy. 足球使我疯狂。

④. make sb. /sth + do使某人做某事(不能带to)

    The color red makes people want to eat faster.         

      红色使人们吃得更快些。

三、重点领悟

主语+ make +somebody + adjective（形容词）

            使某人(感到),  使……处于某种状态

主语+make+somebody + verb（动词原形）

        …使某人做某事(不能带不定式符号to)

e.g. The music makes us happy.

       The rainy days make us sad.

       The loud music makes me want to dance

注意：当make 用于被动语态时，必须带不定式符号to.

如： We were made to work all night.            

              我们被迫日夜工作。　

make sb./sth. + adj.  使某人(感到),  使……处于某种状态

make的宾语之后可跟名词, 形容词, 分词来充当宾语的补足语。

名词作make的宾语补足语

   如: The party made her a good teacher.

          党把她培养成为一名好教师。

四、探究提升

Look at the possible endings to the story about the unhappy king.Do you think any of these is the right one ? If so, which one ?

The general cannot find a happy person        and the king remains unhappy forever.

The general finds a happy person with power, money and fame.

The general realizes he is a happy rerson and gives his shirt to the king to wear.

The king suddenly becomes happy without the shirt of a happy person.

Because he missed a goal.

His father told him"Whatever it was, don't be too hard  on yourself.

 Yes, I do. Becaue one person is not the only reason    his team lost.
