    Step 1: Warm-up & Revisin & Lead-in
    1.Greetings.
    2. Sing a sng—Animals.
    Teaching purpse
    利用学生上节课创作的动物图片,设定情境,引导学生巩固旧知,为新知的学习奠定基础。
    Students clap their hands and sing tgether.
    3.Revisin & Lead-in.
    Let students take ut f the pictures they drew last lessn. They can describe them.
    S1: Lk at that… It’s (s)…
    S2: Lk at that… It’s (s)…
    Divide students int tw grups.
    T: Befre the class, let’s make a cmpetitin between Grup Giraffe and Grup Bear.
    Teaching purpse
    充分利用现代化信息技术,将视频、音频、图片等资源进行整合,为学生呈现身临其境的动物园画面。学生由听音猜动物,继而引出动物及其特点教授新知,调动学生视觉、听觉等多种感官的参与。
    Step 2: Presentatin
    1. Guessing game.

    Shw a gate f the z n the PPT. (课件出示: 一张动物园大门照片)
    T: Wh are they? Please listen carefully.
    (1)Students listen t the sund carefully, then guess.
    Play the recrding: Mew~ Mew~ Mew~ (课件出示:一段Mew的音频)
    T: Ww! What’s that?
    Ss: Cat!
    Shw the picture: A cat is under the tree. (课件出示:树下一只猫)
    T: Yeah, yu’re s clever! Lk at the cat. Is it tall?
    Ss: N. It’s shrt!
    T: Great! Cme n, and give me five!
    Teach the wrd “shrt” by using the wrd card and write dwn the wrd n the blackbard.
    (2)Listen t the sund: Paw~ Paw~ Paw~(课件出示:一段Paw的音频)
    T: OK. What’s that?
    Ss: …
    Shw the picture: The giraffe is drinking water. (课件出示:长颈鹿在河边喝水)
    T: Lk at the giraffe. It’s…
    Ss: It’s tall!
    T: Super!
    Students read the wrd “tall” after the recrding.
    (3)Listen t the sund: Oink~ Oink~ Oink~ (课件出示:一段Oink的音频)
    T: Then, what’s it?
    Ss: Pig!
    Shw the picture: The pig is eating. (课件出示:猪正在吃)
    T: Lk! The pig is fat.
    Teach the wrd “fat” by using the wrd card and write dwn the wrd n the blackbard.
    Shw the picture: A mnkey is in the tree. (课件出示:猴子在树上)
    Cmpare the mnkey with the pig.
    T: Is the mnkey fat?
    Ss: N!
    T: Yes, the mnkey is thin!
    (Write dwn the wrd “thin” n the blackbard.)
    Teaching purpse
    “个人读”“小组读”“男女读”“开火车”“哪个不见了”等多种形式操练,增强趣味性,帮助学生有效并熟练掌握词音、词形。
    Lead students t read it.
    2. Read and play.
    (1)Read the wrds: tall, shrt, fat, thin.
    Students read by themselves/in grups/bys vs girls/ne by ne.
    (2)Which ne is missing?
    Shw the wrds n the PPT ne by ne.
    T: Which ne is missing?
    S1: Fat!
    S2: Thin!
    S3: Tall!

    Teaching purpse
    通过问题引导学生观察并讨论图片,借助图片预测教学内容,培养学生的观察能力和逻辑推理能力。将词句编号以及指读跟读,有利于加强学生音、形、义的训练。
    3. Watch and d.
    (1)Let students lk at the picture carefully and predict the main idea, then answer the questins. (课件出示:教材P25 Let’s learn的图片)

    (2)Students listen t the recrding and number the wrds.
    (3)Students watch the cartn. Then pint and read.
    4. Make yur wn dialgue.
    T: Lk at the picture f “Let’s learn”, then make yur wn dialgue.
