    本课时包括 Starting ut和 Understanding ideas两部分。
    Starting ut是导入部分,包括观看视频回答问题和听、读诗歌回答问题两个环节。通过问答部分将学生的思路引入不同时期、不同文化背景下的成人礼庆祝方式以及印象最深刻的成人礼的话题,紧扣单元话题。诗歌If以一位慈父的口吻,假设人生中可能遇到的境遇,鼓励、劝诫儿子该怎样面对,不失为一部伟大的心灵鸡汤。通过听、读和回答问题,让学生了解成长中最重要的品质是什么通过练习活动,将学生迅速带入成长的话题,为后面的学习热身,做好准备。
    Understanding ideas部分是三个不同国家的年轻人的自述,阐释自己对18岁的理解以及与现实社会的碰撞和交融。通过该文章的学习,让学生理解18岁意味着成长,成长意味着冲破束缚和樊笼,但同时也意味着责任和担当。
    课时目标:
    1. 认知并灵活运用本课时的重点单词Integrity、virtue、licence、lan、electin、legal、mature、instantly、bey、gradual、apprve、steady.、cmmitment、suitable、minimum以及短语 have a say,behind the wheel,make impressin n、neither.,nr?,in charge f、take respnsibility fr、instead f、cntribute t等。
    2. 通过速读、精读等方式,引导学生由浅入深、逐层推进,加深对文章的理解,并掌握不同的阅读技巧和方法。通过对所设题目的解答,让学生学会根据关键词提取重要信息,理清文章线索,并学会深层次分析问题,进行语言加工,提高归纳概括、推理判断的能力。
    3. 通过阅读文章,了解18岁的憧憬与现实的差距,懂得担当和责任。

    2. 设计好阅读理解题目,利用不同方式拓展语言点,激发学生兴趣。
    学生准备:
    1. 在网上搜索相关信息,了解不同国家的成人礼以及成年后的权利和责任,从不同侧面了解成长的真正含义。
    2. 思考即将迈入成年人世界的自己,面临哪些改变该怎样面对。怎样让自己的人生过得更精彩、更有意义。
    3. 预习 Starting ut和 Understanding ideas两部分的内容,通过查字典等方式提前解决词汇问题
