A Hllywd-quality mvie may sn be nly a few text prmpts (提词) away. OpenAI last week revealed its latest, wrld-shcking technlgy: a text-t-vide app called Sra that can prduce phtrealistic shrt vides lasting up t a minute.
The cmpany hasn’t released Sra t the public yet, but the artificially generated vides it created fr its demnstratin were stunning. In ne, the detailed prmpt invlves peple walking thrugh Tky while cherry blssms are flying thrugh the wind. The resulting vide was a mind-blwing exercise in wrld-building, shwing a cuple walking in a detailed streets cape that is unmistakably Tky. Perhaps even mre awe-inspiring is that Sra des nt merely prduce vides that fulfill the demands f the prmpts. It imprvises (即兴创作) in a way that suggests a talent fr strytelling.
“Gd heavens,” said Lz Blain in New Atlas. “We’d better try t deal with the speed at which this technlgy is advancing. The wheel, the steam engine, the airplane, the cmputer, the Internet... Nne f them ever sped up’ like this. If yu lk clsely, yu can tell that these very shrt vides aren’t real. But it’s impssible t say whether this technlgy is nearly as gd as it’s ging t get Vides made a year ag, using the AI tl Mid jurney, culdn’t even display the crrect number f fingers n a hand. But Sra nw creates a wrld as yu describe. Get ready fr the next wave f ‘AI disruptin (颠覆)’ as Sra shakes the entertainment industry.”
Yet csts are increasing, t. Estimates f the cst f building ut AI systems have varied frm hundreds f billins t 7 trillin dllars ver the cming years. Where’s the mney ging t cme frm? With OpenAI’s current valuatin appraching $100 billin, traditinal investrs are largely priced ut. Gvernments may be ne pssible slutin, but many are likely t have natinal security cncerns abut backing this technlgy.
Such cncerns are well funded. It’s simply impssible t knw hw these systems will be misused until they’re ut in the wild. While OpenAI has the ability t prevent vilent pictures, disinfrmatin is much harder t plice. Faked vides culd sw cnfusin and chas. At the very least, OpenAI shuld wait until after Nvember t bring Sra t the public.
53. Why des the authr mentin the resulting vide in paragraph 2?
A. T shw Sra has a better gift fr writing stries.
B. T shw Sra has the ptential t create great vides.
C. T shw the vide is as gd as a Hllywd-quality ne.
D. T shw the vide is a stunning result f human wisdm.
54. What is Lz Blain’s attitude twards the future f Sra?
A. Dismissive.B. Unclear.C. Optimistic.D. Objective.
55. What can be inferred abut the technlgy frm the last tw paragraphs?
A. It is bund t cause cnfusin and chas.
B. Traditinal investment in in as a pssible ptin.
C. Gvernments are dubtful abut its develpment.
D. Pssible prblems related t its use remain t be seen.
56. What is the purpse f the text?
A. T intrduce Sra as a rising star f vide-making.
B. T criticize Sra’s trublesme effects n public safety.
C. T advertise Sra as an admirable genius at strytelling
D. T ppularize Sra's ptential as prmter f film industry.

Whether playing tricks r hlding funerals in the wild, crws have surprised the public with their unexpected capabilities. But their “intelligence” knws n bunds. A new study published in Current Bilgy revealed fr the first time that crws can use statistical lgic t slve prblems.
Crws have a large brain fr their size and a particularly nticeable frebrain, assciated with statistical and analytical reasning in humans. “In ur lab, crws have shwn cmplicated numerical cmpetence and careful cnsideratin during decisin-making,” said Dr. Melissa Jhnstn, a fellw at the University f Tübingen. In her recent wrk, Jhnstn and her team pushed these abilities t a new extreme, testing statistical reasning.
In the experiment, tw crws were first trained t peck (啄) at varius images n tuchscreens t earn fd treats; and gradually they had t chse between tw f these images, each crrespnding t a different reward prbability. “Crws were tasked with learning rather abstract quantities and then applying that cmbinatin f infrmatin in a reward maximizing way,” Jhnstn detailed. Over 10 days f training and 5,000 trials, the tw crws managed t pick the higher prbability f reward, shwing their ability t use statistical inference. T researchers’ much surprise, even after a mnth withut training, the crws still perfrm well every time.
Statistical reasning invlves using limited infrmatin abut a situatin t draw cnclusins and make decisins. Peple unknwingly use such cgnitive ability every day. When we select cafes fr scial meetups, ur brains autmatically weigh cllected statistics frm past bservatins and favr the ne mre capable f meeting needs. Similarly, crws remembered and analyzed the cnnectins between the images and the reward prbabilities t make themselves get the mst treats pssible.
Crws nce symblized misfrtune and death, causing them disliked even killed by peple. Actually, they are amng the few animals t adapt t urbanizatin successfully due t underestimated intelligence. “I think these studies d help change public views and imprve ur relatinship with these lvely animals,” Jhnstn stated.
57. What makes crws’ intelligence pssible?
A. Their limitless abilities f tricks.
B. Their scial leaning in the wild.
C. Their physical structure f brains.
D. Their training received in the lab.
58. Which f the fllwing best describes the research prcess in paragraph 3?
A instruct, task, and retest.B. Train, perfrm, and recrd.
C. Assume, prve, and reflect.D. Prepare, teach, and examine.:
59. Hw des the authr explain statistical inference in paragraph 4?
A. By sharing a persnal experience.
B By quting a previus study.
C By making a detailed cmparisn.
D. By using a cmmn example.
60. What can be a suitable title fr the text?
A. Fd Prize Cmpetitin: Crws Chsing Rewards
