    Play a vide f a uplader visiting Chinatwn in San Francisc.
    Attract the interest f students and let them have a rugh idea f Chinatwn.
    StepⅡ: Read fr the rganizatin
    1.Students will be asked t read the passage quickly and master the main idea, style and the purpse f the passage.
    2. Scan the passage and students need t find ut the key infrmatin: the passage talks abut Chinatwn in San Francisc and what visitrs can d there except ging sightseeing.
    3.Read the passage carefully and fill the frm .Make sure students can grasp the rganizatin f the whle passage.
    4.Inspire students t think abut hw t stress the cultural feature in writing.
    StepⅢ: Read fr the expressins
    The authr intrduces the place bjectively and cmprehensively. Read the passage again and find ut the useful expressins t help in writing.
    Cllect the expressins in the way f wrds and sentence patterns.
    Fill the blanks and check the detailed infrmatin while students will be encuraged t imitate the sentence pattern by making sentences.
    StepⅣ: Get ready fr writing
    intrduce Hang Zhu by a vide. Let students put dwn sme infrmatin they can use in writing.
    Present a mind map f Hangzhu accrding t the items mentined in the reading passage. Students will be divided in grups t discuss abut the different items abut Hangzhu and finish the mind map tgether.
    Shw them an extra ppt referring t the landscapes and fd in Hangzhu. If necessary, they can make sme ntes.
    StepⅤ: Writing
    make an example f hw t start describing a place.
    Shw students the way t imitate the paragraph in the reading passage.
    Remind students t refer t the passage they have learned befre—hw t describe a place.
    Enable them t cmplete the whle writing by imitatin.
    Shw them a pssible sample fr reference and a pssible shrt passage fr examinatin.
