I dn’t knw what happened. But whatever it was, dn’t be t hard n yurself.” “I lst the game, Dad. I failed my team. They’ll prbably never let me play again.”
    “Sccer is abut team effrt. Yu’re nt the nly reasn yur team lst. If yu have a gd team, yu shuld supprt each ther. Besides, winning r lsing is nly half the game. The ther half is learning hw t cmmunicate with yur teammates and learning frm yur mistakes.” Peter didn’t say anything but what his father
    said made him think carefully. The next day, Peter went t sccer practice with curage rather than fear in his heart. “Hey, guys,” he said t his teammates. “I’m really srry abut yesterday. We were s clse t winning that game. But I think if we cntinue t pull tgether, we’re ging t win the next ne.”
    T his surprise and relief, his teammates all ndded in agreement. “Yeah,” they said, “dn’t wrry abut it. It’s never just ne persn’s fault. We shuld think abut hw we can d better next time.” Peter smiled. It made him feel lucky t knw that he was n a winning team.
