Step 1 Leading in

Step 2 Warming up
1. Think f six wrds fr fd and drink. Make three lists.
(1) Ask the students what their favurite fd is and ask if it is healthy.
(2) Shw students sme pictures f fd and drink. Tell them they have 30 secnds t lk at them and remember as much as they can.
(3) Ask the students t try t remember all the things they saw and write them dwn as quickly as they can. Then let them think f wrds t describe them.
(4) Put them under“fd”and“drink”and tell them they can use sme f the same wrds fr bth.
(5) Put the students int grups f three r fur t brainstrm which f their wrds are favurites and which healthy.
(6) Elicit and write up under the headings, ask the students t spell and repeat chrally any wrds that they find difficult t say. Ask if the fd is gd fr them r nt.

Read the passage and cmplete the table.
(1) Tell the students t lk at the title f the unit and talk abut what they think the passage is abut.
(2) Ask them t lk at the pictures in Activity 2 again and ask in pairs which fds are healthy r unhealthy. (e.g. Are ndles healthy r unhealthy? Is rice healthy r unhealthy?) Remind them f cuntables and uncuntables.
(3) Elicit their ideas and tell them t read the passage quickly t see if they are right.
(4) Check their answers in pairs. Tell them t read the passage again.
(5) This time, check(√)the wrds fr healthy fd and mark with a crss(×) the wrds fr fd that is bad fr yu.
(6)Tell them t make a table, g back t the text and lk fr the fds that are gd fr yu and write them in the table. D the same fr thse that are bad fr yu.

(1)Ask the students hw many meals they have a day and what they are. Ask what their favurite is, then which ne they think is the mst imprtant and why.
(2)Elicit what they have fr breakfast and ask the class if it’s healthy r unhealthy.
(3)Tell them t read the passage and find ut which is the mst imprtant meal.
(4)Tell them t lk at the wrds in the bx and say that sme f them are pssible answers fr different spaces. Others can nly be used in ne space. All f the wrds can nly be used nce s dn’t write until they read again and are sure. All f the wrds must be used s when they fill in the spaces, check(√) them in the bx.

1. fd and drink
这里drink是名词,意思是“饮料”。drink还可表示饮料的一杯(或一份)。

drink还可以用作动词,表示“饮”或“喝(酒)”。

2. Eat the right fd and be healthy.
吃正确的食物并且保持健康。
这是一个祈使句,祈使句用于表达说话人的愿望、意志、请求、警告、命令、号召或建议,其主语 yu 通常省略,谓语动词用原形。祈使句的否定结构通常是在动词原形前加 d nt (dn’t) 。
3. A bit tired? 感觉有点儿累吗?
这是一个省略句,完整的句子应该是“Are yu a bit tired?”。
a bit 的意思是“有点儿,稍微”,可以用来修饰形容词、副词、动词。

4. Eat ndles r rice, nt hamburgers.
吃面条和米饭,不要吃汉堡包。
ndles是名词,意为“面条”。该词总是以复数形式出现,当ndles作主语时, be动词要用复数。英语中有些名词总是以复数形式出现。如: clthes衣服, glasses眼镜, pants裤子, shes鞋等。
