Scholarships are for Group Play admission fees and/or transportation. Transportation invoices(发票) must be received within 60 days of your visit to guarantee the scholarship.
Group Size
We require one chaperone(监护人) per ten children. Failure to provide enough chaperones will result in an extra charge of $50 per absent adult.
Group Play is for groups of 10 or more with a limit of 35 people. For groups of 35 or more，please call to discuss options.
Hours
The Museum is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Group Play may be scheduled during any day or time the Museum is open.
Registration Policy
Registration must be made at least two weeks in advance.
Register online or fill out a Group Play Registration Form with multiple date and start time options.
Once the registration form is received and processed，we will send a confirmation email within two business days.
Guidelines
●Teachers and chaperones should model good behaviour for the group and remain with students at all times.
●Children are not allowed unaccompanied in all areas of the Museum.
●Children should play nicely with each other and exhibits.
●Use your indoor voice when at the Museum.

Fifty years ago I had a young family of three boys. My husband Johnny and I left them with a friend while we made a rare trip to the cinema in Liverpool.
It was dark and pouring with rain but with the headlights shining on the road，we saw something ahead of us. Johnny pulled to a stop and I jumped out，ran to the grass edge and grabbed a small，wet，and frightened creature. I wrapped it safely in my woollen hat and insisted that my husband turn back and head for home. We thought it was a baby rabbit because it had long ears and was grayish-brown in colour. Once home，we filled a box with torn-up newspaper and a warm towel. We named our new animal Bobsy as we had no idea of its sex.
Sadly though，on the third day with us，it caught its back foot in a door and we quickly realised it was broken. We rushed to the vet(兽医)，who said，“It’s only a rabbit. I’ll put it to sleep.” Our response was a very determined “No way！” We found another vet and told that she was a baby hare. We were told we should continue to keep her in her box for a week and her foot would heal.
After her recovery，Bobsy learnt to use the kitty litter tray. She would comb her long ears with her front paws. The local paper heard about this and came to our house to take her photo and write a story about her. We had her for seven wonderful years before we moved to New Zealand and we will never forget her.

(2023山东济宁市高二测试)The Disneyland parks are full of amusements，but they are also small cities that deal with deliveries，rubbish，and groups of visitors. People need to move from one place to another； they have to refuel and relax. To meet these requirements，the parks are well-equipped in reality. For example，Disneyland Park in California has a reliable transport system. In Walt Disney World in Florida，dustbins are spaced 30 feet apart，and all of them are emptied through underground tubes.
None of this happened by accident. Walt Disney first had his idea for a play land in 1937．He first imagined the park’s buildings in a small size. He spent years collecting ideas by visiting other places. He studied Beverly Park in Los Angeles，including rebuilt historic villages. He visited Colonial Williamsburg，where employees dressed up and walked around. Then he organized a team of engineers and designers to plan and build a small world he called Disneyland. Walt Disney had blueprints(蓝图) drawn up，and tried to get the permission to break ground(破土动工).
In 1953，he bought some land in Anaheim. Some designers thought it was too far，but Disney went ahead. It was like building a new city. Pipes had to be fixed. Railway track had to be laid around. Disney chose the hub-and-spoke(轴辐式的) street pattern that many cities have. “I want Disneyland to be a place where you can’t get lost，” he said. Designers and architects also diagrammed(图解) the rides and made models，while artists painted the background.
Finally in July 1955，the visitors came. If they picked up maps，they could see the results of years’ planning: the shops and restaurants，the square，and the streets. The magic city had finally jumped off the drawing board and come into real life.

(2022年新高考全国Ⅱ卷)As we age，even if we’re healthy，the heart just isn’t as efficient in processing oxygen as it used to be. In most people the first signs show up in their 50s or early 60s. And among people who don’t exercise，the changes can start even sooner.
“Think of a rubber band. In the beginning，it is flexible，but put it in a drawer for 20 years and it will become dry and easily broken，” says Dr Ben Levine，a heart specialist at the University of Texas. That’s what happens to the heart. Fortunately for those in midlife，Levine is finding that even if you haven’t been an enthusiastic exerciser，getting in shape now may help improve your aging heart.
Levine and his research team selected volunteers aged between 45 and 64 who did not exercise much but were otherwise healthy. Participants were randomly divided into two groups. The first group participated in a program of nonaerobic(无氧的) exercise—balance training and weight training—three times a week. The second group did high-intensity aerobic exercise under the guidance of a trainer for four or more days a week. After two years，the second group saw remarkable improvements in heart health.
“We took these 50-year-old hearts and turned the clock back to 30-or 35-year-old hearts，” says Levine. “And the reason they got so much stronger and fitter was that their hearts could now fill a lot better and pump(泵送) a lot more blood during exercise.” But the hearts of those who participated in less intense exercise didn’t change，he says.
“The sweet spot in life to start exercising，if you haven’t already，is in late middle age when the heart still has flexibility，” Levine says. “We put healthy 70-year-olds through a yearlong exercise training program，and nothing happened to them at all.”
Dr Nieca Goldberg，a spokeswoman for the American Heart Association，says Levine’s findings are a great start. But the study was small and needed to be repeated with far larger groups of people to determine exactly which aspects of an exercise routine make the biggest difference.

In the beginning，it is flexible，but put it in a drawer for 20 years and it will become dry and easily broken，” says Dr Ben Levine，a heart specialist at the University of Texas. That’s what happens to the heart. Fortunately for those in midlife，Levine is finding that even if you haven’t been an enthusiastic exerciser，getting in shape now may help improve your aging heart.
Levine and his research team selected volunteers aged between 45 and 64 who did not exercise much but were otherwise healthy. Participants were randomly divided into two groups. The first group participated in a program of nonaerobic(无氧的) exercise—balance training and weight training—three times a week. The second group did high-intensity aerobic exercise under the guidance of a trainer for four or more days a week. After two years，the second group saw remarkable improvements in heart health.
“We took these 50-year-old hearts and turned the clock back to 30-or 35-year-old hearts，” says Levine. “And the reason they got so much stronger and fitter was that their hearts could now fill a lot better and pump(泵送) a lot more blood during exercise.” But the hearts of those who participated in less intense exercise didn’t change，he says.

During the journey，my mouth began to become dry and I wanted to drink.
When we were about a block away from the store，I noticed an old lady who was walking in our direction. She was about 70 years old. She had a big back problem，so she was unable to keep her back straight. She was struggling，pushing a shopping cart full of things like the soap，bread and water. With each step toward her，we began to see her appearance more clearly. It appeared that she was often unhappy and easy to get angry.
I looked at my friend to see if she had noticed her. I could see that she had and that she disliked the old lady due to the lady’s appearance. As we approached the lady pushing the shopping cart，my friend directed me away from the old lady and the cart.
I began to observe other passers-by. They were also trying to avoid her. Suddenly I heard a terrible sound behind me. I quickly turned around to see what it was. I found the lady’s cart had been knocked over by something on the ground.
