Step 1: Consolidation & Lead in1.Greeting
2.Look and say Look at the pictures, using the sentences to describe. -What’s this? -It’s a … T: Zoom wants to see more animals, let’s go to the zoo!Look! We’re in the zoo now, what’s in the zoo? Let’s go and see.
Step 2: Presentation1. Learn the new word – bird Riddle: It has beautiful feathers. It can fly. It usually lives in trees. T: What’s this? Ss: It’s a bird. Lead the reading of the ‘bird’ several times. Then let Ss act like a bird.
2.Show a picture, ask Ss: What’s that? Explain the meaning of it and lead the reading several times.
3. Language point” This - 这,这个,用来表示距离较近的事物 That - 那,那个,用来表示距离较远的事物 What’s that?- “那是什么?”,用来询问距离说话人较远的事物, 用“It’s a/an+物体.”来回答。
4. Learn another new words (1) monkey Riddle: It has big ears and long arms. It can climb trees. It loves bananas. T: What’s this? Ss: It’s a monkey. Lead the reading of the ‘monkey’ several times. Then let Ss act like a monkey. Point to the monkey far away, let Ss use the new sentence ask: What’s that? (2). Tiger – same as before (3). Panda – same as before (4). Elephant – same as before

6. Look and answer Demonstrate the picture of ‘Let’s learn’ Q: Where are they? Then match the option with relevant animals
Step 3: Practice 1. Game time: Whac-A-Mole
