课下天天练() 阅读语言运用组合练姓名________ 班级________ 考号________ 时间:45分钟 .阅读理解A[2022·泉州市高三质量检测()]Eliana Yi dreamed of pursuing piano performance in college, never minding that her fingers could barely reach the length of an octave (八度音阶). Unable to fully play many works by Romanticera composers including Beethoven and Brahms, she tried anyway—and in her determination to spend hours practicing a Chopin concerto (协奏曲), wound up injuring herself. The efforts of Professor Carol Leone from the Southern Methodist University (SMU) have changed all that: Twenty years ago, the school became the first major university in the US. to introduce smaller keyboards into its music program, leveling the playing field for Yi and other piano majors.Yi, 21 years old, tried one of the smaller keyboards, I remember being really excited, because my hands could actually reach and play all the right notes she said. For decades, few questioned the size of the traditional piano. For those with small hand spans (掌距), it's difficult to properly play many works of Beethoven and Brahms. Those who attempt to play them either get used to skipping notes or risk injury with repeated play. Leone is familiar with such challenges. Born into a family of musicians, she favored classical music and pursued piano despite her small hand spans and earned a doctor in musical arts. The idea of smaller keyboards first met resistance from some traditionalists. Leone also said that when she raised the issue with one Viennese professor, he told her there were already too many pianists anyway.Though such resistance is fading, there are some very traditional people who think of piano as a competitive thing. Leone said, “This is art. It's not sport. It's about making as much beautiful art as possible, and we should give everybody the opportunity to do that.”1Why did Eliana Yi find it hard to play a Chopin concerto well?AHer fingers got injured.BIt was timeconsuming.CHer hand spans were small.DThe traditional piano was out of tune.2What is Paragraph 4 intended to do?ASummarize the previous paragraphs.BProvide some advice for pianists.CIntroduce a new topic for discussion.DAdd some background information.3What is the Viennese professor's attitude towards smaller keyboards?AUnclear.    BObjective.CDisapproving.    DPositive.4Which is the most suitable title for the text?AA Hardworking SMU ProfessorBThe Story Behind Smaller Keyboard PianosCTraditional Piano: a Competitive ThingDYi's Road to a Brilliant ArtistB[2022·武汉部分学校高三质量检测]When Joseph Cook first landed on the Greenland ice sheet in 2010, he was expecting to see a primitive white environment. What he found was a “colorful mix”—from black and gray to green, purple and brown, with neon (霓虹) blue melt streams cutting through the ice. The rainbow colours Cook encountered are created by a collection of tiny life forms that reproduce on the surface of the ice sheet. Biodiversity is usually considered a good thing, but in this case the abundance of tiny life is speeding up ice melting, and likely causing global sea level to rise faster than scientists have predicted.Cook says the tiny life forms he studies are contributing to the problem. One of these organisms is an alga (海藻) that grows in the thin layer of water on the surface of the ice. It produces a purplebrown pigment (色素) which acts “like a natural sunscreen” says Cook, protecting the algae from the full force of the Arctic sunlight. The pigment also causes the ice to heat up and melt.If you go out on a hot day wearing a black Tshirt, you get warmer than if you go out on a hot day wearing a white Tshirt. The same thing happens on the ice says Cook. These algae, like the black Tshirt for the glacier, are causing it to warm up in the sun and melt faster.Cook's research on a part of the Greenland ice sheet covering 3900 square miles revealed that algae are responsible for up to 13% of the ice melting. In some localized areas, the algae boosted melting by up to 26%.Glacier algae are not a new phenomenon—there are records of them in the diaries of polar explorers from the 1870s, according to Cook. What's becoming clear is that ice sheets are surprisingly dynamic and complex environments. There are so many questions to answer says Cook. “It's kind of like a theme park for a scientist because there's just so much to do.”5What is quickening the ice melting?AThe algae.BHuman activities.CGlobal warming.DNeon blue melt streams.6Why is the example of wearing a black Tshirt mentioned?ATo clarify a rule.BTo explain the phenomenon.CTo add humour.DTo make a conclusion.7What can we infer from the last paragraph?AScientists will avoid exploring polar regions.BCook feels proud of the current results.CA theme park will be built on ice sheets.DThere's a long way for research into ice sheets.8From which is the text probably taken?AA news review.BA travel brochure.CA Chinese textbook.DA science magazine..七选五[2022·临沂市高三一模]As we know, mental health is in a worse situation among young people globally. __1__ This not only lowers quality of life, but has a negative impact on a teenager's growth. To get at the root causes of this decline, a group of scientists conducted a study and found the combination of high screen time and low “green time” greatly affects mental wellbeing. Children nowadays spend more time than ever in front of electronic devices. The average daily screen time for 8to18yearolds was 7.5 hours in the U. S. ten years ago. As the study states, “This greatly goes above guidelines of 2 hours per day.” Now the condition is worse by the fact that so many schools are using technology to teach classes. Indeed some screen time can promote connections and enable tasks to be done more efficiently. __2__ In addition to troubling nerve stimulation, too much screen time takes the place of important protective behaviors for mental health such as physical activity, getting adequate sleep, and academic activities. The study authors suggest that green time could act as a cure for screen time, essentially balancing its negative effects. __3__ The attention systems can be restored in natural environment when they are worn out, because they employ involuntary attention there, which is not tiring or effortful. __4__ The great nature could potentially function as a psychological wellbeing promotion intervention (干预) for children and teenagers in a hightech era. This knowledge could be a guide to public health departments that are struggling to restore happiness and cheer in countless anxious teenagers. __5__ATeenagers urgently need more green time.BScreenbased technology makes kids less attentive.CThe frequency of depression and anxiety is increasing.DThere are many more ways, nevertheless, in which it is harmful.EIt suggests more outdoor projects like building parks could be fundamental.FPaying constant directed attention to screens can raise directed attention tiredness.GThis study highlights that nature may currently be a potential public health resource..完形填空[2022·长春市高三质量监测() ]As I work in the garden, I take my time.
