Step 1 Warming-up
1. Ss chant the sentences.
2. Complete the passage.
3. Ss work in their groups and brainstorm the ways of computer use.
设计意图:吟诵活动能够有效活跃课堂气氛,调动学生的学习热情。小组合作进行头脑风暴活动,并展开竞争,提高学生的学习兴趣,激发他们的竞争意识和挑战意识。
Step 2 While-reading
Activity 1
1. Ss read through the questions.
2. T lets Ss listen to the recording and answer the questions.
3. Check the answers.
Activity 2
1. Ss read the sentences and then read the passage and underline the related information in the text.
2. Ss check the true sentences and then check with a partner.
3. T elicits the answers.
设计意图:培养学生提取细节信息的能力。
Step 3 Post-reading
Fill and retell
Fill in the blanks and try to retell the passage.
Read and find
1. T tells Ss to find out what the people in the passage do on their computers.
2. T makes suggestions to Ss.
3. Ss find out and remember the phrases in the passage.
4. T ask Ss to match the words and expressions.
Activity 3&4
1. Ss read the words in the box.
2. T lets Ss complete the passage with the correct form of the words from the box.
3. Ss check their answers in pairs and then T elicits answers from the whole class.

Activity 5
1. T has Ss work in pairs to ask and answer the questions.
2. T lets Ss write sentences about their answers and take one of the paragraphs in the passage as an example to write a short composition.
