    设计说明
    本课时学习传统节日的相关阅读。教学时通过给学生展示一组图片让学生预先感知文本内容;然后引导学生完成不同的学习任务,让学生充分理解文本内容,最后复述课文,输出通过阅读获得的文本信息,提高学生的语言运用能力。
    教学目标
    通过本课时的学习,让学生达成以下目标:
    1.知识目标
    (1) 单词及短语:folk, goddess, whoever, steal, lay out, dessert, garden, tradition, admire, tie, Mid-Autumn Festival, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day。
    (2) 学习that, if/whether引导的宾语从句和what, how引导的感叹句。
    2.能力目标
    (1)学习使用宾语从句、感叹句两种语言结构,并理解其功能意义。
    (2)能使用略读、查读的阅读策略获取3a文章中的信息,并完成相应的阅读任务。
    3.情感目标
    了解中国传统节日——中秋节的由来及习俗。
    重点难点
    1.重点:使用宾语从句、感叹句两种语言结构。
    2.难点:运用这两种语言结构描述对节日的看法和观点。

    教学过程
    Step 1 Lead-in
    Show the students some pictures and help them to learn about the Mid-Autumn Festival.
    Look at the picture. What festival do you think of? What do you know about the festival?

    Read the passage about the Mid-Autumn Festival and answer the questions.
    1. How do people celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival?
    2. What story is the reading about?

    2. It is about a traditional folk story of Hou Yi and Chang’e for the Mid-Autumn Festival.

    宾语从句:在复合句中,由一个句子充当宾语,这个句子叫作宾语从句。本单元主要学习由that, if/whether引导的宾语从句。掌握宾语从句的引导词、语序和时态是学好宾语从句的关键。仔细观察下面的例句,然后补全结论部分所缺的内容。
    (1)引导词
    I think (that) math is difficult.
    She said (that) she would leave a note on the desk.
    陈述句作宾语时,宾语从句用that引导。它只起连接作用,没有实际意义,在从句中不充当任何成分,因此常可省略。
    I don’t know whether/if I should take his advice.
    He wants to know if/whether you are a doctor.
    一般疑问句作宾语时,宾语从句用if/whether引导。它们在句子中的意思是是否, 在从句中不充当任何成分,但不可省略。
    【注意】一般来说,在宾语从句中 if 与whether可以互换使用。但在特殊情况下,两者不能互换。只能用whether,不能用if引导的情况:
    1)在介词的后面
    I’m thinking of whether we should go to see the film.
    2)与or not直接连用
    I don’t know whether or not they can get there on time.
    (2)语序
    I don’t know whether/if she will go to Beijing tomorrow.(陈述语序)
    (3)时态
    I know(that) Jack is a hard-working student.
    I know(that) he will take the exam next Monday.
    I know(that) his family moved to Beijing last year.
    宾语从句的时态一般受主句时态的影响。如果主句是一般现在时,宾语从句可根据需要使用适当的时态。
    Linda didn’t say if her aunt was still with them.
    Mary said that she had finished her homework.
    当主句是一般过去时,从句要用相应的过去时态。
    一般现在时→一般过去时
    现在进行时→过去进行时
    一般将来时→过去将来时
    现在完成时→过去完成时
    一般过去时→过去完成时
    【注意】当宾语从句表示的是名言、客观真理或自然现象等时,一般不受主句时态的限制,均用一般现在时。

    感叹句
    1. What fun the Water Festival is!多么有趣的泼水节!
    2. How fantastic the dragon boat teams were!多么棒的龙舟队!
    3. How pretty the dragon boats were!多么好看的龙舟!
    4. How delicious the food is in Hong Kong!香港的食物是多么美味!
    感叹句:用来表达喜、怒、哀、乐等强烈感情的句子叫作感叹句。感叹句一般用what或how引导,句末用感叹号。what修饰名词,how修饰形容词或副词。
    what引导的感叹句:
    1)What + a/an + adj. + 可数名词单数(+主语+谓语)!
    What a clever girl (she is)!
    2)What + adj. + 可数名词复数(+主语+谓语)!
    What beautiful flowers (they are)!
    3)What + adj. + 不可数名词(+主语+谓语)!
    What delicious food (it is)!
    how引导的感叹句:
    How + adj./adv.(+ 主语 + 谓语)!
    How nice the weather is!
    How fast he is running !
    注意:一般情况下,以what和how开头的感叹句可以相互转换,转换后句意不变。
    What a tall building it is! =How tall the building is!

    1. One is Mother’s Day on the second Sunday of May, and the other is Father’s Day on the third Sunday of June.
    one... the other...意为“一个……另一个……”

    Mother’s Day: on the second Sunday of May

    2. Common gifts are flowers and cards for mothers and shirts or ties for fathers.
    1)tie n. 领带(可数)复数形式:ties
    I bought four ties for my father.我给我爸爸买了四条领带。
    2)tie v. 系,捆 现在分词:tying
    Please tie your shoes. 请系上你的鞋子。
    Mary is tying her shoes. 玛丽正在系鞋带。
    3. It is also a good idea to help parents to do something instead.
    该句式结构为: It is + n. + to do sth. 其中it是形式主语,to help parents to do something 是真正的主语。
    It is a good habit to get up early every morning.
    每天早起是一个好习惯。
