课时分析
本课的教学对象是六年级学生，他们已经掌握了一定的英语词汇，具有一定的英语学习的积极性与主动性，具备了一定的英语语言运用能力，求知欲增强。因此，在新知识传授的同时，教师要尽可能多的为学生创造良好的语言环境，给学生充足的语言“习得”机会，让学生在学习中积极参与、大胆发言，从而形成积极的情感态度和自主学习的能力。本单元是新标准英语六年级上册第二模块的内容，重点是让学生理解There be句型以及能在实际生活中应用。
本课时是外研版三起点六年级上册第二模块第一单元第二课时的教学内容，该部分课本定位Unit 1 Activities 3—4。本课时通过听说练习和小游戏的方式来呈现。复习巩固句型“There be”句型，让学生进一步熟悉某地有某物的句型。本课时包括Listen and say.和Practise.两个板块。Listen and say.向我们呈现了几幅唐人街的图片，也因为贴近学生的实际生活，然后结合practise一起，更能激发学生学习英语的兴趣。
本单元是新标准英语六年级上册第二模块的内容，重点是让学生理解There be句型以及能在实际生活中应用。在以前的英语学习中已经接触过There be句型的基本用法，很多学生都已经会用There is和There are来进行简单的描述。课堂上我用游戏的方式加以训练，加深学生对There be句型的理解，以及There is和There are的区别，巩固了以前所学的知识点。
在课文的教学中我设计的几个环节由浅入深，针对重难点进行突破。为培养学生良好的学习习惯，在课文的教学中先让学生听录音了解课文的大体内容，找出新单词和重点句型。再让学生听录音跟读课文，然后让学生读课文深入理解课文并根据课文内容回答问题。在教学中，我发现学生能分清There is和There are，并能对简单的事物进行描述，但对于稍微复杂一点的图片描述还不够灵活，在以后的教学中应多加注意。
课时目标
（1）听懂会说单词miss,sometimes,restaurant,really,dancing,shop,并能书写shop.
（2）能够听懂、会说目标语句：
There is a Chinatown in New York..
There are lots of Chinese shops and restaurants there.
There is Chinese dancing .
（3）能够以小组合作的方式完成教材上的相关练习。
（4）能够能灵活运用功能语句在真实的生活情景中描述某地特征。
（5）让学生初步了解美国纽约唐人街，激起一种民族自豪感。
（6）培养学生的合作意识。

Step 1 Warm up
（1）Say the chant
学生齐说Module1的歌谣，复习旧知。
（2）Free talk
What can you see in the picture? Who can you see? What are they doing?
Step 2 Presentation
（1）Listen and answer (一听part1，回答问题)
What are they talking about? 学习Chinatown并进行语音拼读知识的渗透，总结归纳ow字母组合的发音及发音口诀。
（1）Listen、say and answer (二听part1，听音跟读并回答问题)
a.Is there a Chinatown in New York?
b.Are there any Chinatowns in China?
（2）Think and learn
Why are there Chinatowns in foreign countries?
引导学生谈论为什么国外有“Chinatown”?
（3）Listen and answer(一听part2，回答问题)
What are Simon and Daming doing in part2?
（4）Listen and circle “there’s” and “there are” (二听part2，圈出“there’s” and “there are”)
What are there in Chinatown in New York?
学习dancing, shop(s) 并进行语音拼读知识的渗透，运用发音口诀解决元音字母在单词中的发音，帮助学生归纳总结相关单词，引导学生记笔记，培养良好的学习习惯。
Tips：there be 结构
is + 可数名词单数（如：a dog, an orange…）
a.there 不可数名词（如：juice, milk, water, money, time, meat, Chinese dancing…） are + 可数名词复数
b.There be结构表示“在某地有某物”，结构中be的形式由紧挨着be的所有物的形式决定，遵循上面1这条规则。
小试身手: 用is/are把句子补充完整
(1) There______ a Great Wall in China. (2) There ________ some water on the table.
(3) There_____ lots of buses at the station. (4) There ____ a bike and some cars in the street.
（5）Listen and say (四听part2，听音跟读, 每个句子读两遍。）
模仿语音语调，注意“there’s” and “there are”的句子以及词语“really” “then” “ah”。
Step 3 Production
（1）Fill in the blanks. (根据课本1和2部分所学填空，补全短文。完成后小组内讨论)
Simon and Daming are talking about __________. Daming tells Simon “All towns in China are Chinatowns”. Simon tells Daming “There ______ a Chinatown in New York”.
Later, Daming is _________ an email to his family in China. He says he _______ misses his family. And ____Simon tells Daming more about Chinatown. （2）Draw a place and write it with “there’s” and “there’re”.
画出自己喜欢的地方并运用 “there’s”和“there’re”的句型写一写该地方的特征。

Step 6 Homework
1. 朗读并背诵活动二的课文。
2. 朗读第二模块第一单元学习的单词。
3. 用“There be…”写四个句子。
