教学过程 |
Teach students how to divide words into two words. Have them notice there are many different meanings in one word.
Show the picture of the Chinatown. Play the video about introduction of Chinatown. In this way, lead the students to go into Part 1.
(1) Listen to Part 1. Ask students two questions. “Where is the Chinatown?" (2) Key points. Learn the structure of "There be". Teach students to learn the usage and structure. Pay attention to the correct forms of the verb be. Sum up the rules by making a mind map. Explain the general question of there be. That is to put the verb be in the front. Pay attention to the usages of some and any. They use in different sentences. (3) Practice. Show the picture of a desk. Have students use the right forms of the verb be. Remind them watching the nouns. The verb of be is related to the nouns. (4) Show the picture of Daming and Simon. Guess what they are likely talking about. (1) Watch and answer. Watch the video of Part 2. Then answer the four questions. “Where is Daming doing? Does he miss his family? Does Daming want to go to Chinatown? What’s in Chinatown?” Teacher stresses sometimes and how to answer "What' in...?" In this way ,develop the students’ listening skills. (2) Phrases. Sum up the key expressions of Part 2. Let students learn about Chinese restaurants and Chinese lion dancing. (3) Key points. Explain the difficulties of the sentences. Tell students some grammar. 现在进行时be doing, family's two meanings, the two phrases about lot, let's..., do/does can help to emphasize. (4) Watch and repeat with the video. Get students have a whole grasp of the dialog. (5) Act out. Divide the dialog into three parts. Have the groups to act them out. In the end, act out the whole dialog. By doing this, students can grasp the dialog freely.
(1) Show the pictures of three classrooms. Talk about the things in the classrooms. It makes students grasp the structure of there be more freely. Then check the answer with students. (2) According to the phrases of nouns, choose the right box. To further revise the usage of be in "there be".
Show the picture of a bedroom. Introduce the room with the given phrases. This exercise is more difficult. Students can use "there be" to describe things in the life.
Play the video about foreigners who come to Chinatown and what they think of Chinese food. This time, students can listen to the foreigners' spoken English in the daily life. Encourage them to use what they have learned in real life. 6. Summary Sum up the important phrases and structures to revise key points. |
