Unit 1 What does she look like?

【第二课时】

【教学目标】

（一）语言目标

1．词汇:能听懂、会说、认读新单词tall, short, long, round, young, old.

2．句型:能运用句型,初步询问他人和介绍他人外貌;对书信的格式有初步感知.

（二）应用目标

1．能询问他人的外貌特征.

2．能独立阅读书信,并能寻找和获取信息,用来完成表格.

【教学重难点】

1．重点:能听懂、会说、认读新单词tall, short, long, round, young, old．能询问他人“What does he/ she look like?”并能运用“He/ She is tall. He/ She has big eyes.”介绍他人外貌.

2．难点:信件形式的阅读文本给学生增加了新奇感,同时也存在视觉上的难度挑战.学生要能读懂信件的寄信人、收信人和大概内容,需要教师点拨才行.

【教学准备】

单词卡片、课文录音、课本图片等（有条件的学校可利用幻灯片、多媒体课件、教学VCD）.

【教学过程】

I. 热身/复习（Warm-up/Revision）

Game: Choose

教师提供几张图片,请学生根据图片的外貌选择形容词来描述人物.

2．Let's Read

Pre-reading:

教师用课件呈现自己笔友的照片和来信,介绍pen friend.

T: Nancy wants to make a pen friend. This letter is from Nancy to her pen friend.

教师用课件将写的信通过电子邮件发送出去并介绍:“The pen friend (Jane) has got the letter.”课件呈现笔友收到了信,很喜悦,阅读了信的内容并动笔写回信.教师:“This letter is from Jane to Nancy.”

While-reading:

（1）First, read it by yourselves in two minutes. And then do the exercises.
