Step 1 Warming-up
Ask Ss some questions about reading.【设计意图】通过师生问答,了解学生的阅读爱好,并顺利导入本课话题。Step 2 Pre-reading1. Introduce the novel Gulliver’s Travels and its author to Ss with the help of pictures. 2. Look at the picture and answer the question “What catches your eyes most in the picture?”【设计意图】介绍《格利佛游记》的主人公与作品,根据小说篇名预测书中主角,并通过图片引导学生初步了解故事内容。Step 3 While-reading1. Read the paragraph 1 and answer the questions.【设计意图】问题1~3是指向小说内容的情景分析, 问题4的设计用于欣赏故事开头,引导学生理解——一个好的开篇是一部优秀小说的必备要素。2. Read the paragraph 2 and answer the questions.【设计意图】旨在考查学生多角度理解文本的能力,引导学生在阅读活动中更好地了解了主人公的心理并培养学生基于文本的想象力。3.
