(Text 1)
W: Hi Peter. I'm getting home late and there is a big storm coming. Could you close all the windows now?
M: OK, Mum. And I will cook dinner for us.
(Text 2)
M: Come on! Let's go. It's the next stop.
W: Hold on. My ticket's on the floor.
M: Why didn't you put it in your bag?
W: It doesn't matter. Just ring the bell.
(Text 3)
M: Hi Amy. This is Fred. I'm going to visit a university this Friday. If I pass the exams, I want to be a student at this one. Do you want to come with me?
W: Yes, I'd love to.
(Text 4)
M: Now, let's see what we can do during the flight. How about reading one of these magazines?
W: Well. Grandma gave me this book of puzzles to do. She knows I enjoy those.
M: Great! You can also watch the film if you get bored.
(Text 5)
M: Hi Maria. Did you read the article in the school magazine, about homework?
W: Yeah — interesting ...
M: Which parts?
W: For example, homework allows our parents to know what we are learning ...
(Text 6)
W: Would you like to come to London with Anne and me on Tuesday?
M: I'd love to, but I've got to go to the hospital for a small operation on Tuesday.
W: Really? Is it serious?
M: No, I don't think so. I don't even have to stay overnight. You know that brown mark I've had on my back since I was little?
W: Yeah. You used to get embarrassed about it when we went swimming.
M: I know. It doesn't worry me these days, but the doctor says I should get it removed, so that's what's happening on Tuesday.
(Text 7)
M: I can't believe we have to go back to school! The holidays were too short. Where did you go?
W: We went to China. It was amazing!
M: Sounds great. We went to Italy and had lots of pizza. Do you know who our teachers are this year?
W: Well, we have Mr. Harrington again this year.
M: That's good. What about Mr. Rogers? Do we have him for math again?
W: No, we have a new teacher, Miss Taylor. There's also a new French teacher.
M: I always find French so difficult! And did you know that our art teacher is married now?
W: Oh, great! We have to say congratulations when we see her.
M: Well, we can do that now. Look there she is ...
(Text 8)
M: Have you started your book report yet?
W: Yes. Have you?
M: No. The problem is I don't know what to say. I was wondering if you could help me with it.
W: Well, start with what it's about. Then you should go on to talk about your opinion of it.
M: That's just it. I haven't actually read the book yet.
W: Oh, Darren! You have to read the book before you can begin the report. That's how it works. Why haven't you read it?
M: I was sick.
W: Well. I think you should read the book for yourself this weekend.
M: All right. I'll read it over the weekend and I'll call you on Sunday evening. Is six o'clock all right with you?
W: I'll be out then. Call me at seven.
M: OK.
(Text 9)
W: Harry, tell us what your favorite sport is.
M: I like extreme sports — you know, things like rock climbing and ski jumping. But the sport I love the most is mountain biking.
W: I see. So, when did you start riding?
M: I first became interested in mountain biking on a school holiday in Scotland. Then my parents bought me a mountain bike for my 11th birthday. After that, I often went riding. The following year I entered a competition and I won! That was when I decided I wanted to be a professional rider.
W: And what's your life like?
M: I travel a lot to attend competitions. I practice mountain biking three times a week, but I go to the gym daily and I go running once a week as well.
W: What are your plans for the rest time of the year?
M: Well, in August, I'm going to a summer camp to teach kids riding skills. And then in October, I'm going to France for a competition. I'm really looking forward to it.
(Text 10)
Everyone in my family loves animals. These days my mother has stopped working as a doctor and started to sell pet food, toys, and things like that. In her free time, she walks our dog. I was very happy when I finally got a dog, two years ago. I had wanted a cat when I was little but my parents thought a rabbit was a much better pet for me. Unluckily, I only had it for one year. Now we have many different animals at home because my father owns an animal shelter. We never say no if an animal needs our help. We always try to find them new homes with kind people. I understand the animals we save need a good home. I feel upset when a new animal that someone has left on the street or hurt comes to us. I don't understand how anyone could do that. I want to work with animals when I leave school, so every weekend, when my friends go shopping, I go to help collect eggs from the chickens and give water to the cows on a farm. I think it's the best job.

第一节
One possible version:
Shopping is an important part of our life no matter in-store or online. However, it is quite common that the rights and interests of customers are sometimes harmed. Customers may buy goods that are of poor quality or are different from what is described.
When such things happen, customers must protect their rights. As a student customer, you can tell a trusted adult such as your parents or teacher, and try to communicate with the shop. Or you can call 12315, reporting such behaviors and asking for help.
第二节
One possible version:
On Mia's 8th birthday, Bailey took her to the American Girl store and a bald doll on display caught the pair's attention. Then, Bailey and Mia walked through the store and saw another doll with no hair inside a glass display. Looking at dolls representing girls like her daughter touched Bailey, and she couldn't keep her tears back inside the store. Before leaving, Bailey approached a manager to thank the staff for putting bald dolls on display. She told him how happy Mia felt after knowing they gave equal importance to dolls that looked like her.
Since Bailey thought sharing her feelings with the manager wasn't enough, she penned a heartfelt note and posted it on American Girl's Facebook page. Bailey believed bald dolls in toy stores could spark meaningful conversations between children and parents and give parents a chance to educate their kids about alopecia. Such conversations would normalize children having no hair, and she wouldn't have to see people look at Mia in surprise whenever the little girl went out in public without covering her head with a wig or a hat. Bailey said: “We are different. Toys should be different too.”
