Unit3 Family matters-Presenting ideas教案
Teaching objectives:
- Enable the students to deeply understand the topics about family life and the relationships between family members.
- Guide the students to master how to grasp the ideas of the text messages.
- Lead the students to form correct values of family and improve their thinking ability.
Evaluation objectives:
- Ask the students to talk about the reasonable ways to communicate with their parents.
- Ask the students to collect more relevant words and expressions to describe how to form a harmonious relationship with their parents.
Teaching key and difficult points:
- Make the students think deeply about how to get along with their family and learn to put themselves in others’ shoes to give them more love.
- Help the students to shape a correct outlook on life and values.
Teaching methods:
Cooperative Teaching Method; Task-based Approach, Communicative Approach
Teaching procedures:
Step1:Lead-in
The teacher asks the students how they communicate with their parents.By showing students three pictures-texting message,having a quarrel or remaining silent, the teacher gets the students to think about how to communicate with their classmates properly.
Step2: Make a guess
The teacher presents three text messages on Page 36 and invites the students to guess who sent each one:Stuart’s friend, his teacher or his mother.

Step3:Deep thinking
Think about the saying “Home is where you are loved the most and act the worst”.

Step4:Watch a short video
Show the students a short video about family matters.

Step5:Share your ideas
Ask the students about the following questions:
1.How is the relationship between you and your parents?
2.What is the ideal relationship between children and parents?

First,it goes without saying that we should respect and trust our parents.They have experienced more and always try their best to protect us from dangers.In addition,if we often talk with them about our life and experiences,we will know each other better.What’s more,we can often tell our parents how much we love them.If sometimes we don’t agree with our parents’ decisions,we should try to put ourselves into their shoes and we will soon understand them.Remember what they really want is only the best for us.

教学反思:本堂课为本单元的最后一节课,通过前面课时的铺垫,学生已经对家庭关系的认知有了充足的积累,这句包括语言表达的积累和正确价值观的积累,所以本堂课更多地改变了熟人的方式,采用了读短信,看视频等方式的输入。学生多元化的感知,使得学习既有趣味性,又能够起到巩固作用。相信通过本单元的学习,学生能够形成更全面,更积极的家庭观,对其人格的塑造起到正面作用。
