Step 1 Warm-up

激发学生学习英语的兴趣和愿望。

       Greetings

T: Good morning，boys and girls!

       Let’s sing

教师播放歌曲音频，老师和学生一起跟唱字母歌。

Play Letter song for students. Students sing the song while clapping their hands.

       Game

复习所学字母，教师在PPT上动画呈现图片，学生迅速说出字母。

Show some letters on the PPT. Ask students to say the letters quickly.

Step 2 Presentation&Practice

听说读写四个方面来进行学习，引导学生总结字母的发音，培养学生的自主学习能力，激发学生的学习积极性。利用图片及单词卡片辅助教学，并让学生打着节拍吟诵chant，增强趣味性的同时还能培养学生的节奏感。

引导学生自主探究字母在单词中的发音规则，培养学生的自主探究学习能力。

       Lead in.（课前引入）

呈现新字母。Show new letters on the PPT.

Show some letters with hand gestures. Let students watch and guess the letters according to the hand gestures.

T：What letter is it?

Ss: ...

       Presentation.（字母学习）

1. Learn the letters

(1)教授新字母U u，课件展示字母U u的卡通图片，并呈现字母U u的大小写形式，引导学生注意区分大小写。

T: Look! This is letter U u. Please follow me, U u, U u, U u, this is letter U u...

Ss: U u, U u, U u, this is letter U u (Show how to write letter “U u”.)

Teach students the pronunciation and the writing of the letter “U”. Then lead students to learn the lowercase letter “u”.

At last ask students to find out the difference between the capital letter “U” and the lowercase letter “u”.

Play the recording of “U” and the pronunciation of its relevant phonetic symbol. Let students read after the recording.

(2)老师带领学生学习拼读字母U u对应单词，并让学生跟读操练。

Show two words that begin with the letter “Uu”. (课件出示：字母U在单词中的发音/ʌ/及单词umbrella, under的相关内容) Let students experience the pronunciation of the letter “Uu” in different words.

T: Look! What’s the first letter of the two words?

Ss: It’s “u”.

T: Great! Now let’s listen to the two words carefully. Can you find the similarity between them?

Ss: … (Students can answer in Chinese.)

T: Yes! The pronunciation of the letter “u” in the two words is the same. It pronounces “/ʌ/”. /ʌ/ /ʌ/ umbrella. /ʌ/ /ʌ/ under.

(3)老师教授字母U u韵律。

T: Where is the rabbit?

Ss: … (Students can answer in Chinese.)

 2. Listen, repeat and chant

(1) T: Listen and repeat (第一遍，老师播放视频，学生跟读，注意发音和语调)

(2) T: Watch and read the words.(第二遍，学生看图独立说出单词)

(3) T: Let’s chant together. (第三遍，跟随节奏边拍手边唱歌)

       Practice.（字母操练）

(1)Let’s play. Show the game on the PPT. Turn and students say the letters quickly.

T: Now, everyone. Let’s play a game.

You should say the letters quickly in groups.

(2)Listen and circle.

a. Present the pictures and talk about them.（课件出示：教材P60 Listen and circle的图片）

T: Look, what’s in Picture 1?

Ss: A vest.

T: You are right! How about Picture 2? What color is it?

Ss: Yellow.

T: (Do the hand gesture of six.) Who can tell me? What number is it?

S1: Six.

T: Wonderful! Next one?

S2: Zoo.

T: Great! The last one?

S3: Water.

b. Play the recording.（课件出示：教材P60 Listen and circle的音频）

T: Now, let’s listen and circle the first letter of the word you hear. For example, if you hear “pen”, you should circle “p”.

Step 3 Consolidation&Extension

       Consolidation.

Write and say

Play the cartoon.（课件出示视频）Let students watch it carefully. Remind them to pay attention to the stroke order and other tips. Then ask students to write the letters in the correct stroke order in their books.
