设计说明 首先通过观看一段有关季节变化的视频并听一首英文歌导入新课,然后学习一些有关哈尔滨冬天的词汇,学会用一些单词和短语来描述冬天,并分析文章结构,继而构思写作提纲,并由此开展写作。最后通过练习来复习本课时的内容。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标: 掌握词汇:deep,land, exciting, throw, snowman, ice, everywhere, be covered in deep white snow, during this season, throw snowballs at each other, use carrots for their noses 2.能力目标: (1)学习在写作前先列提纲; (2)学习如何写自己最喜爱的季节。 3.情感目标: 了解如何写自己最喜爱的季节,热爱自然,保护自然。 重点难点 重点:学习在写作前先列提纲。 难点:学习如何写自己最喜欢的季节。 教学准备 PPT 课件;相关图片。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in 1. Watch a video. Play the video about seasons, at the same time, students listen to the song called Seasons in the Sun. Step 2 Presentation 1. Show some pictures of Harbin and ask: (1) What does Harbin look like? (2) What activities do people do then? 2. Show them some pictures and give students answers. At the same time the teacher can present some new words. (1) Everything is covered in deep white snow The lakes and rivers are frozen. The land is quiet and beautiful. (2) They have snowball fights, make snowmen, enjoy the Ice Festival. They also throw snowballs at each other, screaming and laughing. Teach new words: deep, frozen, throw, scream. 3. Give a summary about the winter of Harbin. Show a picture and say:Look at this picture. It’s cold in winter. The temperature is usually below zero and the rivers are frozen. It’s often snowy. We can see deep white snow. The land is quiet and beautiful. We have Ice Festival each year. There are beautiful ice lanterns everywhere. What can we do in winter? We can make snowmen and throw snowballs at each other, screaming and laughing. We can also go skiing. It’s very exciting. What festival or holiday can we have? Yes, we have Spring Festival, Christmas and winter holiday. It’s really great. Step 3 Listening 1. Listen and answer. Listen the whole passage on page 90 and answer the following question. Which season does the writer like best? 2. Listen carefully again and answer the questions. (1) What’s the weather like? (2) What does Harbin look like at that time? (3) What do people like doing in this season? (4) What festivals or holidays are there during this season? Answers:(1) It’s very cold. (2) Everything is covered in deep white snow, and the lakes and rivers are frozen. (3) They love playing outside and having big snowball fights. (4) The Ice Festival 3. Listen and fill in the blanks. Then check the answers. Winter is my favourite season. It is very __________ and everyone has to wear _________ warm clothes, but I always enjoy the winter here in Harbin. The temperature is usually _________ zero and it is often snowy. Everything is covered in _________ white snow, and the lakes and rivers are _________. During this season, you cannot see beautiful flowers and green trees, but the _________ is quiet and beautiful. My friends and I love playing outside in winter. T: Read the whole article carefully. In this article, how many paragraphs are there? What’s each about? Yes. It has three parts. The first part is Paragraph 1. It tells us the writer’s opinion. It’s the introduction. The second part is Paragraph 2 and Paragraph 3. It’s the main body. It tells us the reasons. Paragraph 2 is about the weather and sights. Paragraph 3 is about the activities and festivals. The third part is Paragraph 4. It’s the conclusion. It tells the readers the writer’s feeling. Let’s try to finish this mind map with the key phrases. 3. Mind map. Show the mind map of the passage. 4. Analyze the article. (1) Coherence. T: So far, we have known the structure of the article. Now analyze the coherence of paragraph the writer uses. Find out how the writer organizes the ideas. (2) Find the conjunctions , adjectives and adverbs in the article. T: Let’s see how the writer uses proper conjunctions, adjectives and adverbs. Circle them. (3) Variety of sentences. T: Good! Now find some good sentences. Can we express them in different ways? Let’s see the variety of sentences. The first example: It is exciting to have snowball fights. We are excited to have snowball fights. We find it exciting to have snowball fights. We find that it is exciting to have snowball fights. What an excitement it is when we are having snowball fights. The second example: We throw snowballs at each other, screaming and laughing. In spring, we fly kites, running and laughing. In summer, we kick the football on the grass, running and shouting. In autumn, we/farmers work to harvest crops, sweating and laughing. Step 5 Writing 1. Write an outline. T: It’s time to write your favourite season now. Before writing, we should know how to write a good article. Pay attention to the tips. First of all, discuss in pairs about the outline and write it down. I’ll choose some students to show the outline. T: Do you think it’s a good outline? Yes. Can we write an article according to the outline? 2. Write a draft. T: Next, write a draft about your favourite season. The writing structure and useful expressions will help you. If you have time, decorate it as a poster. (Play the background music.) 3. Edit the writing. (1) Peer Editing. T: Have you finished it? Check it on your own and mark it. Then exchange it with your partner and check in pairs. Underline the beautiful sentences and words. Correct the mistakes in red pen. Mark your writing. Here is the assessment table. (2) Class Editing. T: Now I will show three students’ compositions. Who would like to share your writing with us? Put up your hands. Good, let’s have a look. How many marks can we give Student A? Step 6 Summary 1. Enjoy the posters. T: So far, we have a better understanding about how to write an article about your favourite season. Let’s review what we have learnt about it. 2. Conclusion. We throw snowballs at each other,screaming and laughing. 我们相互扔雪球,叫着,笑着。 句中的screaming and laughing是现在分词短语在句中作伴随状语。 All the children had a good time at the party,singing and dancing happily. 在晚会上,所有的孩子都玩得很开心,高兴地唱着,跳着。 2.
