(3)What does “Between a Rock and a Hard Place” mean? 5.教师根据学生阅读理解情况点拨短文中出现的重点和难点。 【完成教材2c~2e的任务】 1.认真阅读短文,根据短文内容完成2c中句子的判断正误,正确的圈True,错误的圈False,不知道的圈Don’t know,完成后集体核对答案。 2.再次认真阅读短文,在短文中找出2d中五个问题的答案,完成后请几名学生展示答案,教师点拨。 3.根据短文内容将2e中的句子排列顺序,集体核对答案。 4.将排好顺序的句子熟读,然后两人一组根据这些句子提示向各自的搭档讲述Aron的故事,可以根据短文内容添加细节。 【语法提要】 1.be/get used to (doing)意为“习惯于(做)某事”,短语中的to是介词,其后不能用动词原形。该短语中be还可换成get或become。 例句:I’m used to going to school by bike.我习惯于骑自行车去上学。 2.because of意为“由于;因为”,是一个介词短语。 例句:We didn’t go swimming because of the rain.因为下雨,我们没去游泳。 3.run out意为“用尽;耗尽”,由“动词+副词”构成,不用于被动语态,以主动形式表示被动意义。 例句:Our time is running out.我们剩下的时间不多了。 4.mind mind为动词,意为“介意;在乎”;后面可接动名词作宾语,但不能跟动词不定式。 例句:Would you mind parking your car there?你介意把车子停到那边吗? 5.give up give up为“动词+副词”结构的短语,意为“放弃”。 例句:He is a man who doesn’t give up easily.他是个不轻易放弃的人。 【问题探究】 根据汉语意思完成句子。 1.她不习惯住在城里。She isn’t used to living in the city. 2.由于天气原因,我们推迟了运动会。 We put off the sports meeting because of the weather. 3.我的墨水用完了。My ink ran out. 4.我一点都不介意。I don’t mind at all. 5.她想放弃数学,因为它太难了。 She wanted to give up maths because it was too difficult. |
