Prepositional phrases: on the sofa, under the bed, etc.Teaching aidsTape recorder, picturesTeaching proceduresStep 1 Warming upRevise some school things by asking questions: T: what is this?  ----S: It is a/an… T: What are these? -----  S: They are Step 2 Learn the new words(1)   Show the pictures on the blackboard:   chair, table, bed, bookcase, sofa.(2)   Read the words over and over again until the students can name each item fluently.(3)   Best eyes (read the words as quickly as they can)Step 3: New words learning.1. Show the pictures on the blackboard. Read the new words one by one.2. Let the students write them in their exercise books.3. Look at the picture on page 19. Read the new words on the left by the students.4. Match the words with the things in the picture.Write the answers in the English books by the students.5. Check the answers.Step 4: Presentation.1. Show the pictures of a box and an apple to teach ″in, on, under″Present ″where’s…?  It’s in/on/under…″ with a pencil and a book.2. Look at the picture on the blackboard to present the target language again, and teach ″where’s″3. Show some pencils and a book to the students and present ″Where are…?  They’re….”Step 5 Practices.Look at the picture on page19.Ask and answer work in pairs and remember.Step 6: Game: Hide and look for things Students hide and look for the school things in pairs. One student hides one school thing and asks: Where’s…?  Where’re…? The other student guess and answer: It’s in your desk. They are in your pencil case.  etc. Ask some pairs to share their performance. Step 7: Listening. (1b)1. Play the tape for the first time, students only listen.2. Play the tape for the second time. Students number the things when they hear them.Step 8: SummaryWords: in, on, under, where, they, chair, bed, table, sofa, bookcase.Sentences: -Where’s my / the pen?       -It’s in the schoolbag.         - Where are my / the books?   -They’re on the sofa.         -Where’s my / the schoolbag?  -It’s under the table.Step 9: Homework:1. Remember the new words.2. Talk about the things and places in your room then write them down.Blackboard Design:             Unit 4 Where’s my schoolbag?
