一、听力原文
1. W: Oh, oh, sir, can.. can you help me?
M: Yes, Madam, what’s the trouble?
W: I just put my luggage down over there and I was talking with my daughter. But when I came back, it was gone. I’ve been absolutely everywhere.
2. W: Jackson, the Internet here is really slow. Why did you pick this hotel, anyway?
M: Uh, because it’s close to the river and has a view of those beautiful trees...I’m actually surprised they even have Internet service all the way out here!
3. M: Why are you so delighted?
M: I have been thirsty to buy a new dishwasher for a long time. They normally cost 3000, but today, they are on sale for two thirds of the regular price.
4. W: Did you pass your physical exam?
M: No, my eyesight is bad. I need to get glasses. Finally, I’ll be able to see better!
W: You’ll fit in, too. Most of the people I know wear glasses.
5. M: Hello, Madam. I’d like to borrow some English history books. What should I do?
W: Fill out this form, show me your ID, and take your picture. After that, I need 100 as a deposit.
6-7. M: What’s our flight number again? I don’t see it on the board.
W: It’s AC851, New York to Mexico City. Maybe we’re too early.
M: I told you we needn’t have left too soon. We could have stopped and gotten something to eat.
W: I didn’t know how long it would take at the bookstore. Besides, there are restaurants here.
M: Well, we might as well find the customer service desk and check that our flight is not delayed.
W: Good idea. Then we have to exchange some money. How long did you say the flight was?
M: Around 5 hours. It’s about the same time it takes to fly from New York to the state of Arizona.
8-9. M: Thanks for coming on our show, Dr. Lee. Dr. Lee is here to tell us about “man’s best friend”—dogs.
W: Thanks for having me. Dogs are wonderful animals. There’s a reason why they’re called “man’s best friend”—they are very loyal. This is because they used to live in packs in the wild. They feel strong commitment to anyone in their “pack” or family. That’s why they’ll learn to obey commands from the “top dog” or leader in their home. They’ re very smart animals.
M: That makes sense. Now I have a question for you... Are dogs really colorblind? I’ve heard people say that, but I don’t know if it’s true.
W: A lot of people ask me that. No, dogs aren’t completely colorblind. They don’t see only black, white, and gray. They mostly see shades of yellow, blue, and purple.
M: Interesting! Thanks for clearing up that mystery.
10-12. M: Linda, I’m going to the gym to learn swimming this afternoon. I’ve never done it before and I’m a little nervous. Can you swim?
W: Yes, I’m a good swimmer. Did you sign up for a swimming class?
M: No. My father’s friend is a swimming coach, who teaches me for free.
W: That’s good. It’s important to learn standard swimming strokes. Let’s watch a swimming video first, and then you’ll understand what I mean better.
M: Good idea. I’ve already picked out the books to buy. We can go now. What about watching the video over lunch?
W: Sounds good. But did you forget something?
M: What?
W: You’ve been talking to me. Have you forgotten I haven’t chosen my books?
M: Oh, my God. I’m so sorry. It slipped my mind. I’m going to select some nice envelopes.
W: OK.
13-16. W: What’s that on your face, Dad? You scared me! I thought you were someone who broke into the house!
M: It’s mud. It’s good for your skin.
W: You mean, you just went out in the backyard and picked up some mud from the ground, and then put it on your face?
M: No. I bought some mud online. It comes from the Dead Sea in the Middle East. Do you see the color? It’s a beautiful gray color because of its rich minerals. The mud in the backyard is mainly brown. And the soil is black. The Dead Sea is famous for its health benefits. People go there from all over the world to swim in its water. Many companies ship the mud to people like me, who can’t take a trip there.
W: Does your face really feel different after you take the mud off?
M: Yes, it feels my skin is many years younger. Some of my wrinkles are even going away. Do you want to try it?
W: Well, I’m only sixteen years old. I don’t think I need to feel younger.
M: But I’ve noticed your face is very oily sometimes, and that other times it’s dry. This mud is sure to help you with that. It clears up your skin and leaves your face looking bright and fresh.
W: I’ll try it. I’ve been feeling bad about my looks lately. Maybe this will help!
17-20. As traditional forests are destroyed, tiny forest—some as small as a tennis court have sprung up in cities around the world. They’re increasing biological diversity and fighting climate change. These mini forests are inspired by Akira Miyawaki. He’s a botanist, or plant scientist, from Japan who pioneered a unique way of growing forests. It involves planting a wide variety of native tress close together and leaving them to grow into a dense forest. Miyawaki has planted more than1,000 of these in Japan and other countries. The Miyawaki method is said to grow trees 10 times faster than other methods. That’s according to a recent study by Wageningen University in the Netherlands. The study says the diversity of tree species attracts a greater variety of insects and amphibians looking for food and shelter. The Miyawaki method has become popular in Europe. Boomforest is an organization in Paris, France. In November, it planted two forests using Japanese botanist’s method. The group also taught people how they can grow their own mini forests. In the Netherlands, IVN Nature Education has helped communities build 100 forests using the Miyawaki method. The group also educates kids about tiny forests. Simon Lewis is a professor of global change science at University College London in England. He explains that it’s important to grow trees because they absorb carbon dioxide.

参考范文:
Dear Diana,
How is everything going? Since you are interested in the Campus Cleanup Day of my school, I’m willing to share more with you.
It’s a voluntary activity on a weekly basis. Every Monday morning, students do a thorough cleanup to welcome a brand-new week. We do whatever we can, such as cleaning the windows and sweeping the floors, to make our campus cleaner and tidier. And the pictures you saw were taken when I was helping in the canteen, where I wiped the tables and placed them in order. From the shining smile and sweat on my face, you can tell how happy and content I was for doing my bit to make my school a place just like home.
What do you think of this activity? Looking forward to hearing from you.
Yours,
Li Hua
