    Antnella Zanbetti, a c­authr f the study, said the new research results shwed that the current U. S. regulatins are inadequate t prtect the aging American ppulatin, highlighting the need fr stricter standards and plicies that help further reduce PM 2.5 cncentratins and imprve air quality verall.
    Wmen and urban ppulatins, particularly thse in the nrtheast, were particularly at risk, the research shwed.
