课堂教学
Step 1 Leading in
1.Greet the class.
2.Free talk:Lead the students to talk about what animals they like and the reasons why they like them.
Step 2 Work on Grammar Focus
1.Read the sentences and let the students repeat.
2.Have the students practice reading the sentences by themselves.
3.Ask the students to think about the sentences carefully.
4.Conclude the usage of “where” and “why”.
Step 3 Work on 3a
1.Let the students complete the conversation.
2.Have some students present their conversations with their partners.
3.Check the answers together.
Step 4 Work on 3b
1.Get the students to write names of animals that they like and don?t like,and share in pairs.
2.Invite several students to share their choices.
Step 5 Work on 3c
1.Let one student think of an animal,the other one asks questions about the animal to guess its name.Then exchange roles.
2.Provide some information about different animals for the students to guess the answers.
3.In this part,teacher goes around the classroom to monitor the students? work and give language or pronunciation support if needed.
4.Ask some pairs to act out their conversations.

1.why引导的特殊疑问句的用法。
(1)用来询问具体的、直接的原因。它的构成形式如下:
Why+be+主语+其他?
Why+助动词/情态动词+主语+行为动词+其他?
(2)用来向他人提建议。常用句型:
Why don?t you+动词原形+其他?
Why not+动词原形+其他?
其肯定回答常用“Great/Good idea/That sounds interesting.”等;否定回答常用“I?m afraid I can?t.”等。
2.形容词用来修饰名词,表示人或事物的特征。在句中可以作定语、表语,用于限定被修饰语的特征,如长短、大小、重量、颜色、高矮、胖瘦、新旧等。
教学反思
本课时是语法课,学习了why,where引导的特殊疑问句的用法,并通过课堂练习和互动来巩固学生对这一知识点的掌握。本课时有所不足的是课堂练习时间较少,学生课后可多做练习。
