Ss : Good morning , teacher.

T:  Good morning , class.

T: Look at the picture. What can you see?  Do you like your school? I usually get to school by bus, but sometimes by bike . How do you get to school?Today,let’ learn Unit 3How do you get to school?

Step 2.Presentation

Presentation 1

Teach new words and phrases

Show the pictures on PPT to teach new words and phrases.Lead

Students to read them one by one and explain their meanings.

1. Invite some students to read the phrases and speak out their meanings.

take the subway乘地铁，表示“乘......”均可用动词take

含有动词的交通方式有：

      take the subway 乘坐地铁     

      take the train 乘火车

      walk (go on foot) 步行            

      take the bus 乘公交汽车

        …

可以用介词by表示乘坐方式：

by bus, by subway, by bike

3. Lead students to read through the conversation in the picture.Then ask students to make new conversations with the phrases in 1a and the students in 1b.

how long的用法：1.表示多长时间，主要用来对一段时间的提问。How long does it take to get to London from here?

How far is it from...to...?从...到...有多远？It’s about...

How far主要用来询问从某地到某地的举例。
