最高级形式的构成
(1)单音节词和部分双音节词在原级后加-est构成，具体情况如下：
①单音节词及部分双音节词在词尾后加-est。
great--greatest clever--cleverest
②以e结尾的单词，在词尾后加．st。
nice--nicest fine--finest
③以辅音字母’y结尾的单词，把y变为i，再加-est。
happy--happiest heavy--heaviest
④重读闭音节单词末尾只有一个辅音字母的单词，双写最后的辅音字母，再加-est。

(2)绝大多数双音节和多音节形容词前面加mst构成最高级。

四、总结（引深探究 15分钟）
形容词最高级用法
用法：当需要对三者或三者以上的人或事物进行比较，表示“最……”的含义时，需要用 级。我们在使用最高级时应注意以下几点。
1、形容词最高级前通常要加定冠词 ，但如果最高级前有物主代词、名词所有格等修饰时，则不用定冠词。如：
(1)Mnday is my busiest day. (2)Jim is Mike’s best friend.。2、形容词最高级常与介词in或f引导的短语（说明比较范围）连用。若介词后的名词或代词与句中的主语是同一类人或物时，常用f短语。当强调是在某一范围、场所内进行比较时，常用in短语。
如：(1)She is the ldest f these children.
(2)Lily is the yungest in her class.
3、形容词最高级前可用序数词进行限定，共同修饰后面的名词，其结构为：the+序数词+形容词最高级+名词。
如： The Yellw River is the secnd lngest river in China. 黄河是中国第二长河。
4、有时有最高级修饰的名词前还可以用不定冠词来修饰,但这时不含比较的意思，只是表示“非常，很”
如：Their perfrmance was a greatest success.他们的演出非常成功。
