One pssible versin:
I turned my eyes t Ryan’s paper withut anyne nticing me. There it was, spelled ut in Ryan’s pr handwriting. My eyes went quickly back t my wn paper, and I changed the letters “e-i-f t the letters “i-e-f”. I remained nervus as Mrs. Brwn muthed the last spelling wrds. My stmach was painful, and my mind was racing. I had just cheated fr the first time in my life. Was this the way I kept my perfect recrd? By being a cheater?
Finally, I decided nt t cheat. I picked up my eraser just as Mrs. Brwn asked us t hand ur papers t her. Quickly, I erased what I had written dwn earlier and changed it t what I knew was the wrng wrd. As my sweaty hand released my pencil, I breathed a sigh f relief. I held my head high as I handed my less-than-perfect paper t Mrs. Brwn. What if my mark wuld be nt as gd as befre? At least my hnesty was.
