    Teaching prcedures
    Step 1 Warming - up
    I will help students review the twelve star signs by shwing them pictures f star signs. Ask students t say the names f star signs crrectly and talk abut each star sign. Fr example, “Samuel was brn n 5th April” Smene says he is selfish and impatient at times, but I dn’t think s. I think he is kind and energetic. (Students can lk at the passages n Page 7 and talk abut their friends’ characteristics accrding t the star signs.)
    Step 2 Presenting
    When students are talking abut their friends’ characteristics, I will write dwn the adjectives they use. Then I will ask students t tell which are gd characteristics and which are bad nes. Let ne f the students guess the ppsite f the wrd “fair” (fair - unfair)
    Step 3 Practice
    1. Ask students t finish Part A n Page 8. Then check the answer in class.
    (1. active 2. selfish 3. prud 4. strng 5. utging 6. impatient
    7. hard-wrking 8. unfair)
    2. Explain what ‘psitive’ and ‘negative’ mean and ask students t chse sme f the adjectives f Part A t make sentences like this:
    ① I’m generus, patient and mdest but I’m lazy at times.
    ② My best friend is …, but… at times.
    3. Sum up the rules f frming ppsites.

    5. After talking abut each picture, ask students t finish Part B n Page 8. Then check the answer in class. (1. imaginative 2. active 3. patient 4. generus 5. mdest .)
    6. Let students describe ne f their friend r family members accrding t Part B. Fr example: My father is willing t help thers any time. He is helpful.
