Step 1: Finding:

 Discovering useful structures

Let the students try to find out the Attributive clause in warming up and the reading part.

1.We are being killed for the wool beneath our stomachs.

2. Our fur is being used to make sweaters for people like you.

3. I wonder what is being done to help you.

4. So good thingd are being done here to save local wildlife.

Explain some of them, and let the students find out the stucture of the present progressive passive voice.

Step 2. Grammar exlaination.

一、现在进行时被动语态结构：

A. 陈述句：

       主语+ am/is/are +being+过去分词

B. 疑问句：

        疑问词+ am/is/are+主+being+ 过去分词

   二、用法：

      1. 表示说话人说话时或现阶段正在进行的动作，经常和时间副词now(现在), right now (现在, 此刻), at present (现在,目前), at this moment(此刻)连用。

      2. 表示按计划、安排主语将要承受某个动作（少数及物动词）

   An English evening is being held tonight.

   今晚将要举行英语晚会。

   三、意义：

主语和谓语动词之间是被动关系,而且动作正在进行。

Step 3: Review：The Tense of the The Passive Voice

      1. Present passive voice: am/is/are + p.p.

      2. Past passive voice: was/were+ p.p.

      3. Future passive voice: will/shall+ be+ p.p.   

                          am/is/are+ going to be+ p.p

                          am/is/are+ to be+ p.p.

      4. Present continuous passive voice: am/is/are+ being+ p.p.

      5. Perfect passive voice:  have /has+ been + p.p.

      6. The Present Progressive Passive Voice：am/is/are + being done

Step 4: Exercise for consolidation.

   1). Do exercise on PPT15—19.

   2). Students try to do the exercise on PPT 20--23

   3) Pair work: Do exercise 2 & 3 on textbook page 29 in pairs.

Step 4: Homework.

1. Review what you learnt in this period.
2. Finish exercise 1 and 2 on page 64.
